Polar Bear
MARC SUAU
Polar bears live along shores and sea ice in the
icy cold arctic.
Polar bears primarily eat
seals.
They break ice to hunt.
In fall, pregnant polar bears make dens in the earth and snowbanks, where they’ll stay through the winter and give birth from one to three cubs.
the babies of polar bears are
called cubs.
THE POLAR BEARS’ SKIN IS THICK TO KEEP THEIR BODY WARM.
POLAR BEARS ARE WHITE TO CAMOUFLAGE IN THE SNOW
FROM THE PREDATORS.
POLAR BEARS ARE IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION BECAUSE PEOPLE HUNT
THEM FOR THEIR SKIN AND ALSO BECAUSE THE ICE OF THE POLE IS
MELTING DUE TO THE GLOBAL WARMING.
