When you are asked to describe the point
of view of a story, you are being asked to
identify who is telling the story.
AUTHOR CHOOSES POINT OF VIEW
The author is the person who created or
wrote the story, and the author always
chooses a point of view.

FIRST PERSON POINT OF VIEW
First Person
When the story is being told in the 1st
person point of view, the main character
is the one telling the story.

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW
Third PersonWhen the story is being told in the 3rd
person point of view, the author knows what all the characters are thinking all time.
Clues:Characters are referred to by names. Person telling the story seems to know everything that is going on.
