It was the peacock unhappy and sad,
She flew to him, to make him glad.
The peacock said, “I hate myself”“I have such ugly feet. You won’t understand,
When yours are so sweet”
The cuckoo knew how beautiful he was,
She knew how great he was.His feet didn’t matter,If they were thin.If they were fatter,The worst feet, they would have
been

There was lots of smoke As the wood was damp. They cooked their food
Under a small lamp.
Shabana always suffered with cough,This rough work was really tough.

When there was no money to buy food,How will there be money to buy wood?

Rain through a window Siddhi Kulkarni
This is a poem my Siddhi of how she sees the rain through a window…..
As I got bored with my pen,I went to the window to watch the
rain. The wind blew on the stormy night,The thunder (as always) gave such a
fright!
When the lights failed,And the dogs wailed. As the earth soaked,
The frogs croaked.
All the windows closed,
As the rain came in.Not a sight of a man On the street was
seen….

The sky changes colorsThe birds fly highI just can’t imagine. Why? Why? Why?
Who started studies?Who started schools? When was it started?
I don’t know why.Water comes from rain…Rain from clouds….Clouds from water vapor….Why?Just sit and try, To find out why.
Deep in the jungledeep in the oceans
all about historyWhy should we bother?
Just sit and try To find out why
Why do we say,Sorry, thanks, hi, bye?Why are some mighty? Why are some shy?I’m curious to knowWhy? Why? Why?
