Development of an ARB Classic Canopy to suit the all new Toyota Hilux SR dual cab is now complete.

The ARB canopy compliments the commercial design of the new Hilux SR, available as a standard height roof version in either Smooth or Textured exterior finish. Customers may choose from our side sliding window or side lift up window configurations, which are positioned low on the canopy shell to maximise the access into the cargo area.

The front canopy window is available in a lift up configuration to allow maximum rearward vision and easy access to clean the vehicle cabin rear glass. A flat glass door manufactured from grey tinted and tempered safety glass to EC43R standards has been designed to complement the new tailgate. Each rear door is fitted with a high mount LED stop lamp, a forward facing interior light and specially selected gas assist struts with low opening force (160N) suitable for a climate range of -30°C to 80°C.

ARB’s unique laser cut steel mount system is bolted directly to the existing vehicle hard points located at the front and rear of the vehicle tub to form a solid foundation for the canopy.

An ARB ‘under rail’ ute liner (part# KUL2579) has been designed specifically to suit Hilux SR canopy installations which require minimum modifications to allow for sufficient clearance around the canopy brackets.

ARB canopy shells are made from a special co-extruded ABS plastic for strength and durability. The ABS is inert and with suitable venting is safe for the transportation of animals. As a recyclable material we have the opportunity to reduce the amount of landfill at end of product life. The heavy duty painted smooth canopy blends with the smooth surface of the vehicle whilst the economical alternative is the white textured surface canopy with UV capping where painting is optional. Installation:

For those familiar with ARB canopies, the new Toyota Hilux SR canopy is fitted in the same traditional way as per previous classic canopies.

Accessories:A new internal frame kit has been made specifically to suit the new Hilux SR dual cab canopy. The ARB in-ternal frame kit is rated to carry up to 100kg load evenly spread over the roof bar system (e.g. the roof cage and its contents must not exceed this rating).

To accommodate vehicles fitted with OE cabin rails there are 2 channel bar mount kits available.

In order to align the canopy roof rack with the contour lines of the cabin roof, additional front rack mounts have been designed and are required when fitting an ARB trade rack.

Designated Thule roof bars have a design load rating of 100kg for a 2 bar system. Either Thule GL760 (108cm) or GL860 (108cm) can be used and have been designed to align with either cabin gutter mounts or track mounts.

To reduce dust ingress we highly recommend the fitment of the ARB slimline vent to pressurise the tub when driving on dusty roads.
