DiNOLA 'Up High' - prereleasevinyl available now!We're also happy to announce the signing andforthcoming wide-release debut 'Up High' by NewOrleans quartet DiNOLA. 'Up High' was producedby Dave Catching (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal)at his Rancho del la Luna Studio in Joshua Tree,CA, was engineered by Hayden Scott(AWOLNATION, Arctic Monkeys), and also featuressome guest guitar work by Catching. Clocking inat 22 minutes the 12" 45 rpm disc was the veryfirst album manufactured at New Orleans RecordPress, a newly opened vinyl plant in the band'shometown, and features the radio-ready title trackalongside four other originals and the band's takeon the Screamin' Jay Hawkins' classic 'I Put ASpell On You'.

The band is fronted by Sue Ford and anchored by her husband Jimmy on drums with EricLaws on guitar and Eddie Payne on bass. Known previously for their work together asMardi Gras parade float cover band "Pink Slip" (with Catching), DiNOLA represents adifferent original musical direction that generally falls under the stoner/desert/hard rockbanner but also stays true to its Crescent City roots as the tunes also remember the "roll"part of the rock'n'roll equation. Think of them as a stripped down, sultry, female frontedversion of your favorite heavy British Blues band.
