Meet and Greet Morning Hello Nambucca Heads School community,
Thank you so much to the P & C for
organising the Meet the Principal Morning
Tea today, this was an outstanding success
with more than thirty parents present and
our school captains and prefects in
attendance. We all took the opportunity
to celebrate our new school student
leaders and I was able to talk in more
detail about how we will go forward as a
school.
Below is the message that I conveyed to the
parents at the morning tea:
Welcome to our Meet the Principal’s Morning Tea, thank you for taking the time to be here. Firstly, a little about me: I am a vision focused leader, and am strongly committed to engaging the community in the process of developing and implementing this vision. Schools must be focused on delivering the best possible learning opportunities for our students.
My goal is to provide you with an outstanding learning environment for your students. The key to starting this journey is to provide a safe, happy, positive and inclusive school environment. After this has been achieved we can look more closely at optimising our educational delivery in the school. I also need to know “what is so” before I can advise and guide this school successfully into the future. So what will I do? 1. I will be focused on the behaviour of our students, consistent behaviour management language and process with very high standards. 2. I will be gathering evidence through perception surveys from parents, staff, students and from community partners. I will use this evidence to establish the current school perception and the community’s needs for their students. 3. I will be approaching you to be part of our P & C. The P & C is the voice of the school and works with the Principal and Staff to agree on the directions and priorities of the school. Our
first meeting is 6pm Wednesday, 17th February here at school. I encourage you to come along, this is the opportunity for you to have a genuine say in the direction of the school. During March we will have our AGM, and we will vote in formal members for the group, so please come along if you want to have your say on behalf of your children.
Thank you for coming to meet with me today, I
am very happy to be leading Nambucca Heads
School into the future and am genuinely excited
with what I have seen so far from the teachers,
parents and students in our learning community.
