Types of Scholarships
• Academic – for college and university students studying project management and related fields
• Project management training – for primary and secondary school teachers as well as nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations
• Professional development – for project management practitioners
Quarterly Scholarships Overview
• Donated by PMI Chapters, PMI Registered Education Providers, and universities
• Most of the scholarships are for project management training and professional development courses with PMI Registered Education Providers
• The rest are partial-tuition academic scholarships for online undergraduate and graduate degree programs at the University of Management and Technology
Quarterly Scholarships Applicants
• The following people apply for project management training and professional development scholarships:– Primary and secondary school teachers– Employees of nonprofit and nongovernmental
organizations– Project management practitioners, including those who
are unemployed and underemployed
• Prospective students, from those finishing up secondary school through working professionals, apply for the academic scholarships
Quarterly Scholarships Deadlines and Evaluations
• Application deadlines are: 1 March, 1 June, 1 September, and 1 November
• Evaluations take place in March, June, September, and November
• A completed evaluation sheet is due two weeks after it is sent to you; the timeline can be extended if there’s an unusually large amount of applicants
• The scoring for each applicant is done using a scoring scale and criteria categories

• PM Fundamentals Online Certificate Program – donated by Cheetah Learning
• Project Auditors LLC Professional Training Scholarships – donated by Project Auditors LLC
• PMIEF Academic Scholarship Program at UMT – donated by the University of Management and Technology (except in June)
About the Volunteer Team Manager
• Hi, my name is Andy Stitt, and I am an Associate here at the PMIEF
• I hold PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management certification
• I am a first-year graduate student at the Florida Institute of Technology pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a Marketing concentration
