The guide was developed as an overview
for livestock producers of cattle, sheep,and horses; agricultural advisors; teach-ers; and students. The 104-page color
publication covers practices to increaseproduction and returns by improvingmanagement of grassland.
It includes an introduction to rotationalgrazing, continuous grazing, and manage-ment intensive grazing (MIG) practices,with suggestions for those who are just
thinking about adopting some grazingmanagement changes and for those whohave just begun a more intensive grazing
management program.
Content includes evaluations of the var-ied species of pasture grasses, a glossaryof pasture and grazing terms, planning
worksheets, and a list of helpful resources.
