Mama, Mommy, Nana, Madre …whatever language you speak, whatever country you live in, the significance of mothers doesn’t change. Being a mother is considered the absolute, most important contribution of a woman. God designed mothers very special. This Mother’s Day, whether you are very close to your mother, never met your mother or your mother has gone on to be with the Lord, thank God for her. You were created in your mother’s womb. She played the most important part in your existence. From the sacrifice that was made to carry you for 10 months, to the choice to give you life, there is no denying that every mother is significant; therefore, we must honor and cherish our mothers. It’s easy to take a mother for granted or forget her significance, especially if our relationship with our own mother is not great. (If you can’t think of one good reason to love, honor and cherish your mother, then look in the mirror. You are here because of your mother.) But God says in Exodus 20:13 to “Honor your father and your mother that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.” This scripture doesn’t have any “ifs”, “ands” or “buts” about it. In other words, it doesn’t say we only have to honor our mother if she is (or was) what society deems “a good mother.” The scripture tells us that no matter what, we are to honor our mother. Don’t wait until Mother’s Day. Whether it’s your mother, mother-in-law, or a friend’s mother, find a mother to honor today. Tell her how special she is and why. Honor her with love, kindness and respect. Do something out of the ordinary for her that you know will just bless her life. You never know what small act can have a big impact. Mothers play a significant role in this thing called life. We wouldn’t be here without them. Thank God for your mother each and every moment you get.

Believer’s Voice: UNDERSTANDING GOD’S WILL FOR MONEY COMETH By David Cunningham We have discussed the importance of the power of a renewed mind. It is equally important for you to understand God’s will for Money Cometh. Dr. Leroy Thompson, Sr. has explained the story of how he agreed with a stranger that “money really goes.” The Holy Ghost corrected him saying, “Money Cometh!” Dr. Thompson has further explained that “MONEY COMETH” is not a slogan like in a marketing pitch, but it is a divine command from God. We are literally commanding money to come. Everything in creation has to obey the voice of the Living God, and we ARE speaking spirits made in the image of God. So, following the example of Jesus when He spoke to the fig tree (Mark 11:13-14)… And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.…we have that identical ability. Jesus spoke to the fig tree, because trees should have had fruit in that season; however, this tree decided to lie to Jesus. Jesus answered back, and told the fig tree how it should now behave… (Mark 11:20-22)… “And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” The next day the fig tree was withered. As the tree had to obey Jesus’ words, money will also have to obey your voice when you command. Faith and obedience to God’s word is the key to “Money Cometh.” We have to believe that when we tell money to COME, it will come. It is God’s divine plan to build the Kingdom and to preach the Gospel and it takes money. Money is used to provide whatever resources, facilities and personnel necessary for the work of the Lord. Money is the main method of exchange for goods and services in this world system. The principle of exchange and the power of agreement is what gives the steward of money its power and purpose. Money fulfills its purpose in the hands of Kingdom believers. Understanding the Kingdom and God’s purpose for money will prevent us from being pulled off track by the deceitfulness of riches. Therefore, as we focus on God’s plan (Matthew 6:10)…“Thy will be done, Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven…” we’ll be able to impact the world when money comes into the hands of Breakthrough Believers!

“Baptism” By Tonya Montgomery

The word "baptism" means to immerse, dip, whelm (cover wholly and fully with fluid). Water baptism is the immer-sion of a believer in water as an act of obedience that symbolizes faith in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a believer, it represents the death of the “old man,” burial of the old way of living and our new life in Christ.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 Additionally, water baptism represents the believer saying farewell to a sinful way of living, and passing ownership of their life over to the Lord Jesus Christ. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4 There is only one prerequisite to being water baptized: you must have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. ministry and we can all effect change in the lives of other people when we have,

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 Water baptism is an outward expression to the world that we have separated ourselves to God through Jesus Christ. Our Salvation through the acceptance of and faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His resurrection is not the end, but the beginning of our walk with the Lord. “Salvation is the means for a relationship with

God, and water baptism acknowledges that relationship publicly.”

Here at C.C.C., we baptize believers in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name. Water baptism is generally held the first Sunday of each month. If you are interested in water baptism, please contact the Church Office at 614-416-9673.

One of the most important and utilized ministries at Columbus Christian Center is the Kids in The King-dom Children’s Ministry. The dedicated and unique individuals that serve in this ministry help to further the vision of Loving God, Loving Others and Impact-ing the World by helping to shape and mold the youngest members, “our children.” The people who serve in Kids in the Kingdom assist Drs. David and Tracy Forbes in developing our children into breakthrough believers. The purpose of Kids in the Kingdom ministry at C.C.C. as described by Sister Dale Coleman, who is the coordinator for the toddler section, is to “sow the Word of God into the children on their level.” Through various activities and lessons the children learn about God’s plan and purpose for their lives. The children are also enabled to embrace Christ through establishing basic biblical knowledge and practical application of God’s Word. Age appropriate teaching and training help with the spiritual growth and the development of each child. These teachings help the children to know, live and spread the gospel to others. It also begins them on their journey to impacting the world.

Sister Coleman has been involved in the Children’s Ministry since 1993 and states, “The most rewarding part of serving in this area of ministry is developing relationships with the children while they are learning to understand God on the purest level. Watching the child-ren come to God with open and pure hearts humbles me and reminds me that we are all supposed to come to God as a child.” Over the years, Sister Coleman has watched many child-ren come through the Children’s Ministry, and these same children have matured and serve in other areas of the church in various ministries. Psalm 78:4 says, “We will not hide them from their children, we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done.” Kids in the Kingdom accomplishes the assignment of training up the next generation to go into the world with open hearts to freely pour the Word of God into others. Let us celebrate the partners that serve in Children’s Ministry at Columbus Christian Center as they help cultivate the future world shakers! Individuals interested in joining this team should complete a Helps Interest Form. These forms are located on the wall outside of the Bookstore. To learn more email [email protected].

Dr. Leroy Thompson, Sr. was called to be an apostle not by the will of man but by the will of God. A divine prophecy was given on July 7, 1994. The anointing of God was resting heavily upon a young Pastor and the Spirit of God revealed to him that there is an apostolic anointing upon Dr. Thompson. THE PROPHECY “…And I say this in humbleness because I’m a man much younger than you are. And much less years in the ministry than you are… But I feel the anointing of the Lord on me to just speak this over you… That God is not only going to expand the borders of the training ministry that you have, but also that apostolic anointing of being a sent one is resting upon you in a fresh new mantle. And that God’s going to begin sending you into places where the flow of the Holy Ghost and the depth of the Spirit that you have experienced is going to be going into virgin territory. Into churches and into ministries where Pastors are literally dying on the vine; who if they don’t get what God has placed within you their ministries are never going to reach the full extent of what they should be. And God said, that it’s almost going to be like you’re going to be a spiritual father over them and nurturing them, and teaching them and guiding them in those things. And the Lord says it’s getting ready to be started. You’ve touched a little bit of it, but it’s like an iceberg, all you’ve seen is the tip above the water. When you get in it’s so big if God would reveal all of it to you even those around you would doubt it and wouldn’t believe it. But the Lord says to hang on to it; you’ve been faithful and it’s going to come to pass. And many will be blessed by your obedience. Amen.” “And he gave some apostles….” Ephesians 4:11

“The seed is the major revelation of the

Kingdom”

Applications of the Seed The whole Kingdom of God is based on the premise of the seed. God does not end with a remnant but rather begins with the remnant. Eventually, God will take the whole world, based on the remnant, as His latter is always greater. Jesus was a remnant, and in His ministry He talked about the seed. As a matter of fact, the seed is the major revelation of the Kingdom (Matthew 13, Mark 4). Therefore, if we are going back to God’s original plan, we must gravitate (or go back) to the seed, and know: 1. God is behind the seed, and you must have confidence in what God says. 2. You must have confidence in the seed (if you lack confidence in the seed then you won’t sow). 3. Your confidence in the seed is exhibited by a seed account. Circumstances will try to keep you from sowing (Ecclesiastes 11:1-4). You can mentally agree to the seed, but as soon as trouble comes your confidence will be out of the window. Having a seed account effectively removes all pressure, intimidation, harassment and fear from your mind. Having a seed account puts up a firewall that ensures you don’t eat your seed when God gives you money to sow. It also ensures you don’t sow your bread, but rather use the resources God has given you for your expenses. The three keys listed above are master principles that will help you be successful in seed time and harvest. In order to get the seed to work, there are three (3) things we must incorporate in our walk with God: love Him, trust Him and obey Him. When you love God, it’s easier to trust Him. When you trust Him it becomes infinitely easier to obey Him. There may be seasons in life that look contradictory; and you may ask, “What is taking so long for manifestation?” You must not let these periods of time make you feel like things are not working. God is a vindicator. It may not look like it, it may not feel like it, but in the end God will bring you out. Say this, “I’m not broke, I have a seed! Holy Spirit teach me seed wisdom. I am a sower, therefore there are no financial impossibilities in my life. My seed is blessing me and making me a blessing.” You must release your seed and know that it is going to work (Zachariah 8:12); there is no risk in the seed. The seed shall be prosperous and it shall produce. The vine shall give her fruit. The ground shall give her increase. The heavens shall give their due. And (I) God will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.  What qualifications does God use for the remnant to receive all these things? The seed! Not the seed known, but the seed sown. God will cause the remnant to possess these things. Your mind has to be rooted and grounded on the seed. Understand that the seed is prosperous and the seed is working. The seed is the major revolution! It will turn anything and everything around at any time and at all times, because the seed is prosperous!

I joined Columbus Christian Center in January 2000, and currently serve on the Health Enhancement Team. Growing up, I attended a small church with no revelation, no unity and no Holy Spirit. I only knew how to pray for my food and my own personal child-like agendas. When I began to attend C.C.C., I was impressed with several things, one being that the service started on time. Also, Pastor Forbes impressed me with his level of excellence. Pastor loved his wife and children and was consistent with bringing the Word every Sun-day. Revelation knowledge was another foreign concept - I thought…This guy doesn’t have a personal agenda! He was passionate about the body, and he taught with love while telling the truth. I always left church with tools, and a set of 'how-to's' to change my life. I began to experience the richness of the Word and the many benefits of being connected with Drs. David and Tracy Forbes.

“Everything I have needed I have received from the Holy Spirit

through Drs. David and Tracy Forbes.” I changed from the inside out. My finances got better when I caught hold of sowing and tithing. I learned how to respect myself, and then I met John. We went through the courtship process, and kept it clean - which is the main reason we are a blessed, happy family today. I want everyone to know that the Word of God is taught in this house. If you plug in, get connected and allow your heart to soften, you will change to the glory of God. God loves me and He did some- thing extra special when He led me to CCC. I am truly thankful to be under the leadership of Drs. David and Tracy Forbes.

I joined Columbus Christian Center in 2007, and I currently serve on the Security Team (helping to keep God’s His house secure) and the Prison Ministry (carrying the gospel). My life has increased in many areas. The greatest area of increase has come because of the connection I have in serving in the ministry at C.C.C. Serving in the ministry has helped me see Drs. David and Tracy Forbes vision a lot better. The vision is to Increase Lives with the Word of God, and it has propelled me to become a faithful servant. Additionally, the vision of C.C.C. has helped me and my family extend what we have learned by sharing the gospel with others, and we have become a blessing to people in many different ways. While listening to the teaching of Drs. Forbes, my family and I have learned how to be about God’s work. We have a kingdom mentality and we actively participate in building God’s Kingdom. What I want others to know about my church is that we welcome everyone to come and receive the teaching and preaching from Drs. David and Tracy Forbes. We have the revelation that God the Father wants us to have increase in our lives, increase in our relationships, increase in our faith and increase that the world can see. We love Drs. David and Tracy Forbes. We are so grateful to God that He has placed them before us as leaders. As we continue to enjoy this:

“Top Flight Word of God!”

We invite everyone to hold on to God’s Word. Also, focus in on what God is calling you to do, and do not get side tracked by what others are doing. The goal is to please the Lord.

Kingdom College Kingdom College

on the recommendation of Columbus Christian Center Church hereby signifies that

Print Your Name Here has fulfilled the requirements for the degree of

Government, Grace and Glory Within any kingdom, the king of that domain establishes the rules in which to govern his territory. Therefore, when the Kingdom of God is mentioned, we should instantly think about God’s government, and the rules He has established. Isaiah 9:6 declares, “…the government shall be upon His shoulder.” As Christians, we are citizens of God’s Kingdom (Philippians 3:20); therefore, in God’s government we must understand that we submit to Him. As we submit, we receive (get) His grace. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and God has set Him as the chief cornerstone of the church (Ephesians 2:20). The government of God leads us into the grace of God. The grace of God will then lead us to the glory of God. There is no glory without grace, and there is no grace without the government of God. In today’s society there is conflict because people are focused on self. However, once we come into the government of God our focus has to shift to God’s way of doing things (Romans 12:2). Now, if we do not watch it, we’ll pick up the same stench that the world has and say, “it’s all about me!” But understand that, ‘Self focus is bad focus!’ The Kingdom of God should always be ahead of ‘me’. In Acts 6:5-6 we see the governmental endorsement of God at work. In the coming times before us (as the church) we’ll need great grace and power upon our lives to help us stand as we deliver the truth of God’s word to the world. The only way to confront sin is with the truth. In John 8:1-11 Jesus asks the woman caught in adultery “Where did all your accusers go?” She replies, “They left.” The scripture does not tell us why they left. It could have been because they had also committed adultery, and some were even with her. So Jesus, tells her, “Go and sin no more.” In another place Jesus tells someone else the same thing (John 5:14), and adds, “sin no more so that something worse cannot come about.” We need to recognize that Jesus saves people; however, He also brings them under conviction by telling them, ‘you cannot continue on the same path.’ We know that God looks on the heart, and ultimately, that is the difference in what Peter and Judas did. Both men ignored their connection with Jesus, but one of them had betrayal in his heart and the other didn’t. One died, the other became an apostle. Why? Peter dealt with his heart, but Judas refused to deal with the sin. We cannot allow sin, in our heart or in our lives, to remain unchecked. If you allow sin to remain, it will change you, and little by little it will turn your heart from God. Come under the Government of God, and humble yourself so that Grace and promotion can come upon your life and those of your household. Then the glory of God will come, and He will exalt (Glory) you in due time. (1 Peter 5:6; 2 Corinthians 12:9)
