A worldwide community of the Public Sector, aimed at sharing and reusing Plone software and Plone knowledge among the member Public Bodies


History

PloneGov project was born in June 2007 by merging three Plone based e-government initiatives focusing on local and regional governments: CommunesPlone.org (Belgium, France), UdalPlone (Basque country-Spain, France) and PloneGov.ch (Switzerland).

• In 2007-2009 it won 4 European prizes and for two times in a row was a finalist in the European eGovernment Awards

• Currently includes about 200 public bodies, in several subcommunities on 4 continents
