Our role as librarians is different from that of classroom teachers.

Teachers deal with reading level and test scores and other immediate goals and objectives.

Librarians deal with selection and inclusion, access to information and ideas. More central to our role is the development of very long-term goals such as creating life-long learners and habitual leisure readers.
