What is a God Parent? A God parent is one who assists their God Child to grow
in the faith. The God Parent needs to practice their faith, so they can help others
grow in the faith. You cannot give what you do not have. A God parent needs to
be at least 17 years old; they should be attending Mass every weekend and Holy
Days of Obligation; they need to have received Confirmation and are able to re-
ceive Holy Communion —therefore, a God Parent cannot be living together with
their boy friend or girl friend. If they are single they are not to be living together.
If they are married they are to be married in the Catholic Church. The God Parent
cannot be the Father or Mother of the child. If you have difficulty finding some-
one in your family to fulfill all these requirements, please talk to Fr. Dennis Mary.
He will assist you in finding a suitable God Parent. May Jesus bless you , your
family and vocation!

ST. ANN’S PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
As a Eucharistic family united in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, under the maternal patron-age of Saint Ann, we strive to bring the healing Light of Christ to all in need of His Divine Love. Through our commitment to prayerful worship and works of mercy, we share our
Catholic Faith to inherit the Kingdom of God.
STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
“Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?” (John 11:40) Many of us say that we believe in God. We go to church on Sunday. We volunteer for events at our parish. But when life gets hard and the pres-sure is on, when things aren’t going our way, do we really believe and put our trust in the Lord? When we live a life of gratitude, being thankful, we see that God provides.
Adoration Chapel News Need hours filled for Sunday 7-8pm. Monday 8- 9pm. Thursday 3-4 pm & 5-6 pm. Saturday 3-4 pm. Please consider filling these hours or 1 hour that is at your convenience. Thank You!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
BISHOP JOHN FOLDA HAS CANCELLED OUR CONFIRMATION MASS SUN. MAR. 22ND AT 2 PM. ALL PUBLIC MASSES ARE ALSO CANCELLED. PLEASE LISTEN TO KEYA FOR FURTHER NOTICES, WHEN WE WILL RESUME OUR NORMAL MASS SCHEDULE. “YEAR OF MARY FOR HEALING” : We appeal to Our Mother Mary to bring healing to those suf-fering with the Corona Virus. May the hand of God stop the spread of the virus through the inter-cession of her, Our Lady of All Graces. WE THANK ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ASSISTED THE SPRING BREAK COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH THEIR WORK DUTIES AND MEALS. They had a blessed time here serving our communi-ty. Your many works behind the scenes of providing meals and cleaning up is very much appreci-ated. Thank you for your efforts to have things run so well, as you served the students. PLEASE CONSIDER HAVING YOUR CHILDREN COME TO ST. ANN’S CATHOLIC SCHOOL NEXT FALL. We are now accepting application for enrollment next year. TEACHERS WANTED ! We are looking for teachers and teacher assistants for St. Ann’s Catholic School for next fall. Please speak to Corie Patnaude, our principal, at the school. WATCH FOR THE NEWS OF THE PROMISE RETREAT REUNION. We will continue our FAITH FORMATION classes after the cautions of the Coronavirus are lifted, and we can meet in groups again. WE WILL NOT MEET FOR THE VIDEO SERIES ON THURSDAY DURING LENT. WE STILL NEED A DELIVERY PERSON FOR THE FOOD PANTRY. The hours are Mon.-Wed.-Fri. from 10am-1pm; please speak with Jackie at the FOOD PANTRY. PATSOR’S NOTE : We are gathered in prayer our houses, the domestic Church in response to the Corona Virus (COVID-19). We pray that the Lord Almighty ends the spread of the virus, and brings all the victims to healing. We especially pray for the elderly and sickly who are more recep-tive to infection. It is indeed sad to inform you that Bishop John has cancelled public Mass-es, to try to stop the spreading of the virus. We priest will still celebrate private Masses. The bishop reminds us we are to observe other means of keeping the Lord’s Day holy. The bishop invites you to make an act of spiritual communion, pray the Rosary, and engage in spiritual read-ing. This is especially important on Sundays and Holy days of Obligation. What is a Spiritual Communion ? We ask the Lord when we are unable to receive the Eucharist, we ask Him to give us all the graces that we would receive as if we physically receive Holy Communion. We say, “Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You have already come, and united myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.” On Sunday you may follow the insert in the bulletin on the orange page for the Ritual for the Domestic Church. If you planned to have a Mass said for a loved one and you had given a donation for a stipend to have a Mass said - the priest will continue to celebrate these Masses. Although the lay faithful will be unable to attend the Masses for the loved one, these scheduled Masses with be said by our priests. The bishop said that we will not have Communion services of small numbers of people. Nor can the priests hand over Holy Communion to people coming to the Church in their cars. On Sat. from 12-4 pm and Wed. 6-8 pm the priests will hear drive up Confessions with the lay faithful in their cars at a safe distance while priest remains in a seat or in their cars. We will have a Eucharistic Procession leaving the Church Sun. at 2 pm. Jesus will be brought to the neighborhoods to bless families. To join please follow in your cars. + Through the intercession of Our Lady of All Graces, may the Lord protect our families from infec-tion and may we all grow in trust and faith in Our Providential Lord. May Almighty God bless all of our families - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Fr. Dennis Mary, S.O.L.T.

Who can receive Holy Communion? Holy Communion is reserved for those who are unmarried and have re-ceived their First Holy Communion. It is also received by those married within the Catholic Church or has their marriage blessed (con-validated) by the Catholic Church. If you are a Catholic who is married outside the Catholic Church or is living together please refrain from receiving Holy Communion. Those who are married outside the Church please come forward and talk with the priest to have your marriage blessed in the Church, and have this obstacle removed so you can receive Holy Communion. Couples who use contraception with no desire to stop using contraception are also to refrain from receiving Holy Communion. If you desire to stop using contraception, come to Confession and let the priest help remove this obstacle of receiving Holy Communion. For one to receive Holy Communion we need to attend Mass every weekend and Holy Days of Obligation—we need to be in a state of grace with no mortal sin on our souls. We need to have gone to Confession recently, or at least once a year. Miss-ing Mass is a mortal sin, unless you have a good reason (ie, you were sick, taking care of someone who is sick or extreme weather). If you missed Mass, not for a good reason, go to Confession and confess this sin prior to receiv-
ing Holy Communion.
