POWER COMMANDER V INPUT ACCESSORY GUIDE

Map - (Input1or2)ThePCVhastheabilitytohold2differentbasemaps.YoucanswitchontheflybetweenthesetwobasemapswhenyouhookupaswitchtotheMAPinputs.Youcanuseanyopen/closetypeswitch.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.WhenusingtheAutotunekitonepositionwillholdabasemapandtheotherpositionwillletyouactivatethelearningmode.Whentheswitchis“CLOSED”Autotunewillbeactivated.(SettoSwitchInput#1bydefault.)

Shifter- (Input1or2)TheseinputsareforusewiththeDynojetquickshifter.InsertthewiresfromtheDynojetquickshifterintotheSHIFTERinputs.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.(SettoSwitchInput#2bydefault.)

Speed- Ifyourapplicationhasaspeedsensorthenyoucantapintothesignalsideofthesensorandrunawireintothisinput.ThiswillallowyoutocalculategearpositionintheControlCenterSoftware.Oncegearpositionissetupyoucanalteryourmapbasedongearpositionandsetupgeardependentkilltimeswhenusingaquickshifter.

Analog- Thisinputisfora0-5vsignalsuchasenginetemp,boost,etc.Oncethisinputisestablishedyoucanalteryourfuelcurvebasedonthisinputinthecontrolcentersoftware.

Crank- DoNOTconnectanythingtothisportunlessinstructedtodosobyDynojet.Itisusedtotransfercranktriggerdatafromonemoduletoanother.

ACCESSORY INPUTS

Wire connections:

ToinputwiresintothePCVfirstremovetherubberplugonthebacksideoftheunitandloosenthescrewforthecorrespondinginput.Usinga22-24gaugewirestripabout10mmfromitsend.PushthewireintotheholeofthePCVuntilisstopsandthentightenthescrew.Makesuretoreinstalltherubberplug.

NOTE:Ifyoutinthewireswithsolderitwillmakeinsertingthemeasier.

1 Removetherider’sseatandremovetheleftandrightsidemid-fairings.

2 Propthefueltankup.

3 UsingthesuppliedVelcrostrips,securethePCVmoduletothebodyworkundertherider’sseatontherightsideoftheframe(Fig.A).

Use the supplied alcohol swab to clean the surface area prior to applying the Velcro.

4 RoutethePCVwiringharnessforwardalongtheinsideofrightframerail.

5 RoutethePCVharnessbranchwiththepairof3-pinconnectorsandthesinglegroundwirewiththe6mmringlugacrossthebackoftheairboxanddowntheleftsideofthebike.

6 RoutetheotherbranchwiththeroundconnectorsdowntherightsideofthebiketowardstheECUcompartment(Fig.B).

7 Locateandunplugtheconnectorpairforthebike’sCrankPositionSensor(Fig.C).

This is a pair of BLACK 3-pin connectors on the left side of the bike, just rear of the bike’s battery.

8 PlugthePCVwiringharnessin-lineofthestockCrankPositionSensorconnectors(Fig.D).

9 SecurethegroundwireofthePCVwiringharnesswiththe6mmringlugtotheenginecaseboltshowninFigureD.

10 RemovethelidoftheECUcompartmentontherightsideofthebike.

11 RemovetheECU.

12 Removethe3boltsthatsecuretheentireECUcompartmenttotheframe.

This should allow you to pull the entire ECU compartment away from the bike so that you can access the bike’s fuel injector wiring harness on the right side of the airbox.

15 ReinstalltheECUcompartment,theECU,thelid,theseats,thefueltank,andallbodywork.

Note:ThePCVdoesNOToverridethestockclosedlooparea.

Optional Inputs:

Analog Gear Position - WHITEwireonsmallWHITEconnectorlocatedontherightsideofthebikebehindtherightsideignitioncoil.

Engine Temp - BLACK/WHITEwirefromthetemperaturesensorinthethermostathousingontheleftsideofthebikebetweenthecylinders.
