41 st Annual German Day: Thursday, April 7, 2017 Parking Information The Washington University Danforth Campus is situated across from Forest Park and is bounded by Skinker Boulevard to the east, Forsyth Boulevard to the south, Big Bend Boulevard to the west, and Millbrook Boulevard/Forest Park Parkway to the north. School bus drivers are asked to enter campus via Hoyt Drive and Forest Park Parkway! Cars and buses MUST allow students to disembark at the foot of Brookings steps. No students should disembark at Mallinckrodt Bus Plaza or any other location on campus. Please note the following parking regulations: Cars, minivans or SUVs Due to the limited availability of parking spaces on campus, please restrict the number of cars needing to park on campus to the bare minimum. Cars, minivans, or SUVs may park on the parking lots to the east of Hoyt Drive in parking areas marked as “Yellow Parking” only. Drivers must get a day parking permit; we will issue these upon arrival on German Day, at the base of the Brookings steps. Parking permits must be displayed prominently and have the correct month, day and year scratched off. Buses Due to the limited availability of parking spaces on campus, we ask that buses return to your school if at all possible, for the duration of German Day events. Due to changes in parking on Danforth Campus, buses will be unable to park in any of the Danforth campus parking lots. Once buses have unloaded, any bus wanting to park and stage, will proceed to lot 61 at West Campus near Clayton. Take Forsyth to Jackson to access Lot 61. The West Campus area on the map is in the top-left corner, highlighted in yellow. Bob Sparks from the office of Parking and Transportation Services will be present on lot 61 to arrange the buses as they arrive and leave. TEACHERS, PLEASE NOTE: Any bus not staging on lot 61 when you are ready for them to return to campus, please make sure students are ready to board immediately. If they will not be ready, please have your bus driver return to lot 61 so Bob can dispatch them to return to Hoyt.
