Environmental Information Regulations 2004 Thank you for requesting information about Cathedral Lanes Shopping Centre which the Council r eceived on 1 st August 201 3. Y our r equest has been c onsidered und er the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. You have requested the following information;

1. Is the site registered, or likely to be registered in the future, as contaminated land by the Council under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990?

No it is not registered and the council has no plans to investigate this site. It is felt any future ground investigation will be undertaken through the planning process. 2. Is the site on the Council’s prioritisation list as part of your contaminated

land strategy? If so, where does it sit on this list? No. 3. Do you know of any pollution or contamination incidents or issues that have

occurred or are occurring at or near the site? The council does not hold any records of pollution or contamination incidents on this site. You may wish to contact the Environment Agency or West Mids Fire Service to check their records.

4. Are you aware of any environmental conditions that were attached to the initial application of the site, if so, have these been discharged to the satisfaction of the Council?

Environmental Protection has no record of the original planning application on file. You may wish to contact the planning team at planning@coventry.gov.uk to request a separate search of historical planning documents.

5. Are there any records of landfills/made ground (type, date, who by,

concerns) present at or near the site? If so, are there any concerns relating to gas at the site (ground gas protection measures necessary?)?

The Council has no record of landfill or made ground at or near the site. See historical map selection enclosed.

6. Are there any records of complaints about the site e.g. odour, noise,

nuisance?

The only such complaint on record dates back to April 2003 and concerned noise from a loudspeaker. The complaint was closed in August 2003. There are no further details on file.

7. Are there any Part B processes on the site or nearby?

8. In addition I am aware that quarrying activities have occurred on site- are

you aware of any ground gas issues? Do you know if there are any gas protection measures on site?

There is no evidence of quarrying on this site on council records. As such the council is not aware of any ground gas issues or gas protection measures on site. Please see historical maps attached.

9. Are you aware of any underground tanks on site?

No
