Youth News Trek, June 24th - July 1st – There are still a few spots remaining for Trek. The $100 deposit to insure your spot is due ASAP. I can only take a certain amount of students on this trip, so it will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are having a meeting in the youth room this Sunday, June 18th, immediately following second service. T.N.T., June 20th - After VBS on Tuesday, June 20th, we will have a movie night in the youth room. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Mission Burleson, June 23rd - Next Friday, we will meet at church building at 9:30 a.m. to head off for our service projects. We will be back by 2:30 p.m. for pick-up. Bring money for lunch!

VBS CHILDRENS PULL-UPS & BEARS

We will be collecting size 3 Pull-Ups for Lubbock Christian Children’s home during VBS. Adults, please bring Pull-Ups and the kids please bring new bears for Cook Children’s Hospital. Let’s see who can bring the most!

CHRIST HAVEN FOOD

We are collecting food for the Christ Ha-ven children’s home food pantry. If you are able to purchase these items, please have them to the church building by to-day, June 18th. Items needed are: Cook-ing Spray, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayon-naise, Pancake Syrup, Ranch Dressing, Chocolate Syrup and Honey. Thank you for your help.

We will offer a class in the Auditorium during the VBS nights. The topics are listed below. MARRIAGE CLASS

A new 6-week marriage class, “Your Best Us” will begin on Sunday, June 25th at 9:45 a.m. in the Duplex. There are some great marital habits that empower all of us—specifically four core habits that come from the Bible that can help every couple become their best US. This class is open to all who have been married from 1 day to 50+ years. Kevin Lombard will be fa-cilitating this 6-week class.

UKRAINE TEAM

The Ukraine team is leaving on June 21st and will return on July 11. They will be visiting the Church of Christ in Ivano-Frankivsk and two youth camps working with over 500 children. Every child will get a set of Bibles (5) and 3 hours of class time everyday. Need prayers for strength, safety, wisdom and the ability to convey God’s word to the children and staff.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN “Change Cans” to benefit Christian Homes and services are available at the Welcome Center. Your spare change can change lives. Take one or more of these cans and when they are filled you may return them to the Welcome Center or the church office. The change will be sent to Christian Homes around the 1st of August.

90th BIRTHDAY PARTY

CARTER BLOOD DRIVE

The Carter Blood Mobil Unit will be here during VBS starting Monday, June 19 through Wednesday, June 21 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. 12 people are needed to give blood each evening. You may just walk up to the mobile unit and donate at that time. After you have donated you will receive a voucher for half off Texas Rang-ers tickets and a free t-shirt!
