    Teacher divides pupils into three groups.

    Miming game

    This classic party game can be converted into adrama activity for children of all ages.

    Write play names, characters, or famous dramaticquotes of the story onto little slips of paper.

    Each child draws a slip and on their turn must gettheir team to guess what is on that slip withouttalking.

    Encourage children to think outside the box on ways

    to get their word or phrase across.

    The art of portraying characters and acting out

    situations or a narrative by gestures and body

    movement without the use of words.

    A person could express himself with the use ofmiming.

    Before the human voice developed, gestures served

    not only to communicate but to aid in the

    development of vocal sounds.

    Teacher selects pupil randomly to come infront and pick up a character from the box.

    Characters include all the animal names in the

    story. They have to act out the character of the

    animal they get and the other pupils will have

    to guess the animal correctly.

    STRIKE A POSE1. Form a circle. Each person chooses one

    other person in the circle to secretly

    watch.

    2. Everyone closes their eyes and strikes apose.

    3. On "GO" -- everyone opens their eyes

    and begins to copy the person they choseto watch. (In posture, pose, stance,

    etc.)Watch as the whole team morphs

    into the same pose.

    A Caterpillar's Voice

    (Maasai: East Africa)

    This is a story about a caterpillar who moves

    into a hares house when the hare was away.

    When the hare returns it sees new marks on

    the ground going into the cave. The caterpillar

    refuses to leave the cave so it uses its voice to

    scare the hare and all the other animals. In the

    end, when a frog threatens it saying it wasmightier than the caterpillar, the caterpillar

    comes out of the hares cave.
