A criminal organization that trains young thieves, VILE sends its Operatives

all over the world to steal cultural treasures for profit or destruction. Carmen

grew up with these criminal Masterminds. She will do anything to stop them.

Years ago, VILE stole the legendary Eye of Vishnu from an archaeological site in this ancient city on the Mediterranean Sea.

Poitiers, France

VILE keeps a hideout filled with treasures from all over the world in this city 183 miles (294 km) from Paris. But Interpol agent Chase Devineaux is more interested in capturing the infamous Carmen Sandiego.

Quito, Ecuador

This time VILE’s after a gold doubloon lost in a shipwreck near the equator. BFFs Le Chevre and El Topo are already there.

VILE is planning a heist in the country’s wild Outback region. Be careful! Australia is home to many deadly creatures—like VILE Operative Crackle.

San Francisco, USA

Look out for VILE Operative Mime Bomb. He’s been seen (but not heard) in the oldest and largest Chinatown in America.

Mumbai, India

Paperstar, VILE’s most fiendish Operative, has been seen in India’s largest city, formerly called “Bombay.”

You’ll Need:

• 2-3 Teams: Kids vs. Parents, Grandparents vs. Kids, etc.

• A die numbered 1–6

• References: An atlas, Google Earth, or National

Geographic’s website.

Gameplay:

• The team with the youngest member goes first and

rolls the die.

• Based on your die roll (1–5), play the VILE Mastermind

Hunt (right) that matches. If you roll a 6, you can play

the Mastermind Hunt of your choice!

• Successfully completing the VILE Mastermind Hunt

means you have found that VILE Mastermind! Play

then continues to the left with the next team.

• If you are unsuccessful, you do not find the Mastermind,

and play continues to the left with the next team.

• If you roll a number and you have already found that

mastermind, your turn is skipped.

• The first team to find all five VILE Masterminds wins!
