PRAYER AND PRAISES
Dear Friends at Platte CRC: About ten years ago, Guadalupe’s husband was kidnapped in Guadalajara; she and her two young sons never heard from him again. Last year they visited New Life Church, and, just before COVID-19 hit, all three of them finished their profession of faith class. Once the pandemic is over she and her sons (now young men) will become members and her sons will be baptized. In the midst of her struggle Guadalupe declares: “I don’t have family in Guadalajara; New Life Church is my family.” Thank you for sending us to Mexico as your missionaries! We also are praying for you in these stressful times; thank you, too, for your most recent sacrificial gifts in December and April. --Rev. Ben and Amy Meyer and family, Resonate Global Mission, Guadalajara, Mexico ([email protected])
OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS
Church Covenant Class: A handful of people have expressed
interest in becoming professing members of our church. This is
for anyone who is a professing member of another church, was
baptized as a child, or even has never been baptized. We
welcome you into a four-session process to help you become
better acquainted with what it means to be Christian, what it
means to be Reformed, and what it means to be part of a
church. Please talk with Pastor Drew before May 24 if you are
interested!
Pastoral Care: Please see a short note from Pastor Drew that
was put in your church boxes, last week, regarding pastoral
care and ‘open hours’ in his weekly schedule.
AREA ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dakota Christian School will hold it's graduation ceremony
on Friday, May 15, at 6:00 PM. in the DCS gym for immediate
family only. The ceremony will be live-streamed and you will
also be able to tune in to an FM radio station to listen to the
ceremony. The link for the live-stream and FM station will be
posted on the school website as well as the DC Facebook page
when it is available. A receiving parade will follow the
ceremony in the DCS parking lot at approximately 6:30 PM
for friends and family who wish to celebrate the graduates. We
invite you to join us for this and ask that you enter the parking
lot on the west side where teachers will be directing the flow of
traffic. Please remain in your vehicle in order to respect
social distance. If you would like to extend your
‘congratulations’ to the graduates with cards or gifts, a drop
box for each senior will be available at the parade, and family
members will assist you so you do not need to leave your
vehicle.
