PLASTICS

- A THREAT TO BIRDS

Look deep into

nature,

and then you will

understand

everything better.~ Albert Einstein ~

Page 2: Plastics

LETS ASK SOME QUESTIONS FROM

OURSELVES….

Are plastic bags really necessary ?

Do we need plastic bags for some grocery to take it at home ?

Did we ever think for even a second before throwing plastic wastes anywhere ?

How much plastic do we really need ?

Do you feel safe eating food from a plastic container that was micro waved?

Buying water in plastic bottles is a waste, do you agree?

Page 3: Plastics

REASON…. The main reason is “WE – The Humans”...

Page 4: Plastics

AN EXAMPLE ..!!

In many areas of the globe, birds inadvertently

feed on plastic floating on the water, mistaking it

for food, and many times this ingestion leads to

death and even the death of their young. A report

by scientists studying the stomach content of

Laysan Albatross chicks on Midway Atoll in the

Pacific Ocean revealed disturbing results: Forty

percent of Laysan Albatross chicks die before

fledging. Necropsies of the chick's stomachs

found them filled with plastic trash. (See photo to

right of Laysan Albatrosses nesting among plastic

debris on Midway Atoll)

THE DIFFERENCE….

What we see.. What actually it is…

SO CAN WE DO SOMETHING NOW…??

“YES” we can.

We are not new to recycling. We’ve been doing it for years and it’s a big part of your daily routine. We’ve become at an expert at identifying what plastics you can and cannot recycle. Now focus on another important part of eco-friendly living: reduce the use of plastic.Recent studies have shown that there’s more plastic than plankton in some of the remote parts of our oceans . We need to remove it...!

So let’s get to it–

Page 10: Plastics

USE OF PLASTICS..

RESTRAUNTS.

Page 14: Plastics
