27/2/12 Dear Parent/Carer, Canteen “Plas Blas” launch Monday 5 th March 2012 2-3pm In the past few months the canteen has seen considerable change for the better! We have had new seating, new serveries, a wheelchair lift, new doors and it has been redecorated in exciting new colours. We then asked the students to give the canteen a new name. They chose “Plas Blas” and so we are now re-launching the canteen with its new name. We have invited a celebrity Chef, Graham Tinsley MBE, to launch the new name with a cookery demonstration in the canteen. Graham is the manager of the Welsh National Culinary Team and is currently Executive Head Chef at the Carden Park Hotel. He has been invited by the Prime Minister to cook for Welsh Assembly members at Downing Street on St David’s Day and he will be demonstrating for us on a Welsh theme on 5 th March. Places at the cookery demonstration are limited but we have 20 available for parents/carers who may be interested in attending. Entry is by ticket only and the tickets are available from Reception now on a first come first served basis. With that in mind, please only take a ticket if you are sure you can attend. It will be an exciting event and will also give you the opportunity to see the changes we have made to the canteen environment. I look forward to seeing you there. Yours faithfully, Pam McClean Headteacher

Dear Parent/Carer,

Canteen “Plas Blas” launch Monday 5th March 2012 2-3pm

In the past few months the canteen has seen considerable change for the better! We have had new seating, new serveries, a wheelchair lift, new doors and it has been redecorated in exciting new colours.

We then asked the students to give the canteen a new name. They chose “Plas Blas”

and so we are now re-launching the canteen with its new name. We have invited a celebrity Chef, Graham Tinsley MBE, to launch the new name with

a cookery demonstration in the canteen. Graham is the manager of the Welsh National Culinary Team and is currently Executive Head Chef at the Carden Park

Hotel. He has been invited by the Prime Minister to cook for Welsh Assembly members at Downing Street on St David’s Day and he will be demonstrating for us on a Welsh theme on 5th March.

Places at the cookery demonstration are limited but we have 20 available for

parents/carers who may be interested in attending. Entry is by ticket only and the tickets are available from Reception now on a first come first served basis. With that in mind, please only take a ticket if you are sure you can attend.

It will be an exciting event and will also give you the opportunity to see the changes

we have made to the canteen environment. I look forward to seeing you there.

Yours faithfully,

Pam McClean Headteacher
