Training objectives

To understand and master the concepts and techniques used to structure products in Islamic Finance that match investor’s needs for performance while remaining consistent with their system of values and ethics.

Training benefi ts

Future graduates will benefi t from a unique university executive master specialized in Islamic fi nance, based on the interaction between conventional and Islamic fi nance.

Who is concerned?

This executive masters is designed to train professionals and students who will eiher work in the Islamic fi nance industry, or in non-Islamic institutions that interact with Islamic fi nancial institutions and need talent to that end.

The Paris-Dauphine Islamic Finance Executive Master is a leading degree in the discipline and aims at training eager students and professionals in the ways of banking, insurance and capital markets and other skills demanded by islamic fi nancial institutions.

Vision & Objectives

This Masters is a complete higher educational program as it provides a thorough learning experience with all pre-requisite and complementary classes being offered. Therefore, a new and innovative approach has been developed in the framework of this program to help fi nance students and professionals alike to broaden their horizons and acquire the necessary techniques to thrive in the industry.This is best illustrated by the introduction of social sciences and islamic law modules in the curriculum. As mentionned previously, the program is comprehensive in the sense that it encompasses fi elds ranging from political science to fi nancial structuring making it a unique and enriching degree for students.

Entry requirements

Individuals with the following eligibility criteria may apply:

w For active employees holding a bachelor degree (Bac + 4) w For Managers from public or private sectorsw For Students holding a fi rst year Masters (in Management, Economy, Law, Computer Science, Mathematics...)

The quality of professional experience can be taken into account, to accept students who do not hold a bachelor degree but do have relevant professional experience.

Career opportunities

Graduates of the Islamic Finance Executive Master may decide to engage into a career in a number of fi elds, such as credit institutions, asset management, retail banking, investment banking, private banking, insurance, law fi rms and venture capital companies…

(80 hours per module)w Workshops presenting future challenges with the participation of leading actors of the global Islamic finance industry. w The elaboration of a thesis monitored by a tutor. w A final examw Extra curricular projects in Islamic Finance: w Road show (optional): to the main Islamic financial hubs (GCC zone, Malaysia,...), w Conferences, workshops organized with the Research center in Islamic Economics & Finance…

Publishing, Media coverage and PressThe Executive Master’s students are very active in the publication in Islamic fi nance. They publish their annual review of Islamic Finance in French and English and regularly publish articles on specialized media platforms in Islamic Finance such as «Business Islamica», «Islamic Finance News» or «lafi nanceislamique.com» and appear regularly in the media and magazine in France (Le Monde, France 24, Canal+, ...).
