Exercise 1:• Come up with an idea for your scribe

• Keep it simple

• You will be using this idea to create a scribe during the workshop

• First you will be using the simple flowchart layout

• Write out your script

Normally you would record your voiceover next, but we’ll be doing that a bit later.

• Make sure your message is clear

• Decide on the tone and the style for the video

• Write the script and sketch out a storyboard

• Record your voiceover – make it engaging

• Use good images in a consistent style

• Build the scribe around the voiceover (re-record if necessary)

• Keep your scribe clean and simple – don’t overuse fancy techniques

• Fine tune the timings of the elements and the transitions to flow with the audio

• Keep re-watching the video to check the visuals always enhance the audio, and do not distract from it!
