In this activity, participants will create a “face” poster, using the multiple faces of various 3-dimensional geometric solids.

teaCHinG tiP: Young children should be encouraged to use geometry vocabulary as they complete a face-tracing activity. Model the language by saying “side, corner, side, corner, side, corner, side, corner” as a square is being traced. Then, have students count the sides and corners that were traced. Students also may know corners as “vertices” (or a vertex).
