Project Background: Project focuses on strategic renewal and new competence development at a financial service institution. Project location is Zurich, Switzerland. The Advisory Group will cover for travel accommodation expenses throughout the duration of the project.
Requirements: The candidate needs to provide strong analytical, change management and communication skills, including German speaking language skills. Furthermore, the student should be able to work in multi-national teams.

Background: The Advisory Group is building up a new business division – the Investment Management Unit, focusing on professional commodity trading. In this context, the student will work with the wheat trading team to analyse and develop innovative commodity trading strategies and products.

The client’s problem is developing a business plan based on Trust's charitable mission and challenges facing rural community and cricket as a sport nationally.

The translation industry is very competitive, but the business has grown successfully in recent years, (173% 2008/9). The business now needs to ensure that it develops sound strategy, structure and systems in order to sustain growth and profitability over the next 3 to 5 years. Crucial to this is market positioning. The client would like the student to evaluate and prepare a strategic marketing plan, including considering how to make best use of their existing multi-lingual website, and an evaluation of how to enter other European markets.

Background: This project will evaluate how the introduction of smart meters in residential dwellings will affect the pattern of energy consumption, with a focus on the role of alternative pricing scheme aimed at achieving reduction in peak consumption and a more efficient use of appliances.
Task: The first part of the project will involve a critical review of the existing literature while the second part will provide empirical evidence based on data from public sources (Ofgem DECC) and not commercially sensitive information from E.On. Project based in Annesley, just outside Nottingham.

Task: Students will work within a structured programme- mentored by a team of experienced business, sales, rental and operational managers. Their remit will be to analyse the current perceived need, actual spend and available options. Then develop proposals to align with the future CSR and cost saving aims of the organisation.
