TESTING & PLACEMENT PROGRAM

Mission Statement The mission of the Testing Center staff is to provide high quality testing services for Ramapo College students. The staff strives to administer tests in a technologically advanced environment with the goal of promoting satisfaction and achievement in reaching academic goals. The College subscribes to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines for post-secondary Testing Centers.

Testing Center located in Laurel Hall, North

• Use the Library/Academic Complex, Wing A entrance

• Walk through the building and after you exit simply follow the path straight ahead to Laurel Hall.

• When you reach Laurel Hall enter the building located on the left (do NOT attempt to enter the residence area).

• You will see a sign indicating Testing Center on the sliding glass door

Testing Reminders:• Test Exemptions: Students scoring at or above these levels are exempt.

All other students must test for course placement. 26 - ACT Composite Score (Only) 620 - SAT Evidence Based Reading & Writing 580 - SAT Math Section Score (Before March 2016) 560 - SAT Critical Reading 560 - SAT Math• Fees may be paid by cash or check/money order

(payable to Ramapo College). * For accepted RCNJ Students ONLY. No checks will be accepted from off campus testers.

• Come early. Latecomers may not be allowed into a testing session once it is underway.

• Do not bring a calculator with you on test day.

• Leave your cell phone, iPod and all other electronic devices in your vehicle or at home.

• Do not attempt to seek assistance from any outside source, including additional webpages, during testing as this is a violation of academic integrity and must be reported to the Provost for appropriate action.

• Students taking math are HIGHLY encouraged to study

STAMP: $25.00

CLEP Ticket ID: $85.00 per Ticket online plus $35.00 Ramapo Admin Fee in person

ID is required for testing. Acceptable forms of ID include:

• A current driver’s license

• A state approved photo ID

• A current college ID

• A current state or federal ID card

• A current passport

• A current high school ID

• A naturalization card or certificate of citizenship

No photo ID = No testing. No exceptions!
