Kunjungan Wisatawan Jepang ke Bali Merosot 24,52 Persen 3/6/2010 Kunjungan wisatawan Jepang ke Bali mengalami kemerosotan 24,52 persen dari 109.221 orang pada periode Januari-April 2009 menjadi hanya 82.436 orang periode yang sama 2010. ‘Kemerosotan yang terjadi kali ini merupakan yang terparah, diperkirakan erat kaitannya dengan krisis ekonomi yang sedang melanda negara itu,’ kata Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Bali Ida Komang Wisnu. Dia mengatakan, meskipun masyarakat Negeri Matahari Terbit itu turun drastis ke Bali, namun Jepang tetap menempati urutan kedua sesudah Australia dari sepuluh negara terbanyak yang berkunjung ke Pulau Dewata. Ida Komang Wisnu menjelaskan, masyarakat Jepang dalam menikmati keunikan seni budaya Bali itu hampir seluruhnya datang melalui Bandara Ngurah Rai, hanya tiga orang diantaranya lewat laut dengan menumpang kapal pesiar. Dari sepuluh negara terbanyak memasok turis ke Bali, lima negara diantaranya mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dan lima negara lainnya mengalami penurunan. Lima negara yang masyarakatnya menurun ke Bali, selain Jepang juga Malaysia sebesar 10,20 persen dari 43.982 orang menjadi 39.495 orang, Korea Selatan 7,80 persen dari 40.983 orang menjadi 37.787 orang, Perancis 0,16 persen dari 25.136 menjadi 25.095 orang dan Rusia 0,77 persen dari 25.165 orang menjadi 24.970 orang. Lima negara yang mengalami peningkatan cukup menggembirakan meliputi Australia sebesar 59,68 persen, Belanda 44,19 persen, Taiwan 19,08 persen, China 0,98 persen dan Inggris 0,86 persen. Buku Membuat Saus Cabai dan Tomat

Saus (atau sering disebut saos) adalah cairan kental yang dibuat dari buah atau sayuran dan mempunyai aroma serta rasa yang merangsang. Saus yang umum digunakan di Indonesia adalah saus tomat dan saus cabai. Saus cabai dan saus tomat merupakan bahan penyedap dan penambah rasa pada makanan. Selain makanan kecil seperti perkedel, bakwan dan otak-otak, makanan besar seperti bakso, mie ayam, spageti, hamburger dan seafood seolah-olah tidak lengkap kalau tidak dimakan dengan saus cabai atau saus tomat. Bahan baku utama saus cabai dan tomat adalah cabai dan tomat. Selain itu, ditambahkan bahan-bahan lain seperti bumbu dan pengawet. Rasa saus cabai dan tomat biasanya asam atau pedas dan bervariasi tergantung bumbu yang digunakan. Saus cabai dan tomat berwarna merah sesuai dengan warna bahan bakunya. Walaupun kadar airnya tinggi (50-60%), saus cabai dan tomat dapat disimpan selama waktu yang cukup lama. Itu karena selain mengandung asam, gula dan garam, saus cabai dan tomat juga berisi bahan pengawet. Karena pasaran yang luas dan bahan baku yang tersedia maka terbuka peluang yang cukup besar untuk mendirikan industri kecil pembuatan saus cabai dan tomat. Sebelum mendirikan perusahaan, kita perlu mempelajari seluk beluk industri pembuatan saus cabai dan tomat. Cabai dan tomat merah yang digunakan untuk membuat saus adalah yang masih segar, matang dan sebagian besar kulitnya berwarna merah terang. Ukuran cabai dan tomat tidak menjadi masalah. Cabai dan tomat yang kecil maupun yang besar dapat digunakan. Tetapi, cabai dan tomat yang kecil atau tidak seragam lebih disukai karena harganya yang lebih murah.
