Attention Exhibitors The Show site is available to FSSA exhibitors from 3 PM to 9 PM Monday, September 13, 2021 and after 6 AM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Set up for FSSA reserved grooming is asked to wait until after 10 am on Tuesday to allow Agility and Scent Work exhibitors to crate for those events. Dogs and all equipment must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show Judging of the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri show on Sunday, September 17, 2021. A security guard will be in the building overnight on Thursday, Sept 16, Friday, Sept 17 and Sat, Sept 18, so dogs may be left in the Purina Event Center overnight on those evenings. In accordance with AKC policy, each dog that is left in in the facility overnight must be identified with a tag stating the owner/agent name and where they can be reached in case of an emergency. In the event of multiple entries, one tag will be sufficient provided it clearly outlines the number of dogs & the area in which they are crated. A tag will be available at the Superintendent’s desk.
RV PARKING GUIDELINES There are seventyfour RV parking spaces behind the Purina Event Center. The fee for parking is $40.00 per night for full service lot; $25.00 for lower lot. Reservations will be made through PURINA (see RV parking information on Page 8). Overflow parking will be located on the gravel lots above the Main Show Field. All RVs will be REQUIRED to show permit to park. Anyone not displaying required permit will be removed from the show site. THERE WILL BE NO RV PARKING OUTSIDE OF ANY DESIGNATED RV LOT. RV reservations will be accepted until the lots are full. Refunds will not be made after entries close on August 25th.
PARKING Exhibitor and visitor parking will be located on blacktop parking lots in front of the Purina Event Center. Vehicles are limited to one parking space. No ExPens or Crates allowed on blacktop, but are allowed on grass areas. No cones allowed in parking areas. No parking in roadways, next to building or on Grass. The THREE RIVERS KENNEL CLUB OF MISSOURI PARKING COMMITTEE will be in charge of all parking for this event.
CRATING & GROOMING Grooming and crating in designated areas only. Reserved Grooming in the Purina Event Center will be 5x10 feet sites with electric on each site. The fee for reserved grooming area is $25.00 for the entire event. Reservations may be made to the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri (see grooming area appli cation on Page 7) There are a limited number of free grooming spaces (no electric) on a first come basis. Chairs will not be allowed in FREE grooming area. Bathing of dogs limited to bathing area, located next to grooming area. No dogs allowed in bathrooms. Dogs may be left in the building overnight Thursday, Sep 16, Friday, Sep 17 and Sat, Sep 18. There will be a Security Guard. The Building will be locked at 10 pm and opened at 6 am. NO CRATES MAY BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON THE FLOORING SURFACE IN THE GREAT HALL. THERE MUST BE PLASTIC OR A RUG UNDER THE CRATE. ALL GROOMING TABLES MUST HAVE RUBBER OF PLASTIC CAPS ON THE END OF THE LEGS OF THE TABLE. No cones are allowed inside building. NO ExPens allowed inside building at any time. NO SOFTSIDED CRATES ALLOWED. Please stack your crates and limit number of tables. All vehicles must leave their headlights on while unloading. All exhibitors must abide by the 15minute unloading/loading parking time limit designated around the Purina Event Center. NO VEHICLES MAY BE PARKED NEXT TO BUILDING OR IN ANY ROADWAY. VIO LATORS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.
EXHIBITORS & GUESTS No one is permitted anywhere that is marked “Employees Only” and/or “No Admittance.” These are separate divisions of Purina and are not part of the show grounds. No person or dogs are allowed on the second floor of the Purina Event Center. “If your child is in a stroller, keep a respectful distance from dogs, particularly dogs whose heads are at the same level as your child. Be very careful when near dogs so that you don’t run over tails or feet or bump into them. Be sure your child does not reach out to touch a dog without owner’s permission. No cones allowed inside building. No firearms allowed on Purina Property. No outside food or beverage is allowed in the Purina Event Center or other venues. Violators will be reported to the AKC. No Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) in the Build ing. No helium balloons allowed in either Hall. No glitter or confetti allowed in the facility. No Duct Tape to be used in the facility. Only painter’s tape or gaffer’s tape may be used.
HOTELS Exhibitors are expected to maintain their premises & their dogs (both at hotels & on the show grounds) in a quiet, clean & wellkept manner. Hotels have been requested to report violations to the showgiving clubs. Offenses may result in an Event Committee hearing. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show None will be mailed. Trophies not claimed will be come the property of the showgiving club.
The Clubs reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

“NEW” RV Parking Information PLEASE READ
Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri welcomes you to Purina Farms. Purina Farms has a great RV area. Please enjoy your stay and the shows.
Reservations for RV parking spots at Purina can be made ONLINE for September 9th through 16th. Exhibitors may
choose their own RV spot; first come, first served.
The Full Service Lot offers water, sewer, and electric and is $40 per night.

Handicapped RV spaces are NOT available. RV reservations will be accepted until the lots are full. There will be NO RV PARKING OUTSIDE ANY DESIGNATED RV LOTS. NO TENT CAMPING ALLOWED.
Some RV spots will be reserved by multiple exhibitors, but on different nights between September 9th and
September 16th. Please read below and be sure you understand the process.
When an exhibitor arrives in an RV the exhibitor must check in with Purina Farms security at the front entrance
gate to confirm that their assigned RV space is available. Please have the assigned RV space # that you chose
when you made your online reservation handy for security when they ask. If your spot is available, you will be
escorted to your spot by Purina Farms security to park. If your spot is still occupied, you will be instructed to park
in a designated holding lot which will be either the outdoor agility field or the parking lot below the main show
field until your spot becomes available. You will be contacted by Purina Farms security the minute your spot
becomes available.
RV CHECK OUT TIME IS 6 P.M. RVs WITHOUT A RESERVATION FOR THE CURRENT NIGHT ARE SUBJECT TO TOWING IF NOT OUT OF THE SPACE BY 6 P.M.
There will be NO overnight parking on the holding lots. If you are renting an RV, please be sure to let the company
know all RVs without reservations for the night must be out of the lot BEFORE 6 P.M.
If you plan to arrive early in the day, please consider reserving the RV space for the previous night to be sure it
will be available before 6 P.M.
Please Note: Quiet Hours are from 11 PM to 6 AM. RVs may not move in or out during quiet hours. RVs arriving at Purina Farms after 11:00 pm will be escorted to one of the holding lots at the Outdoor Agility Field or the Lower Main Show Field lot. Late arrivals will then be escorted to their reserved RV spots after 6:00 am when Quiet Hours conclude.
All RVs will be REQUIRED to display a parking permit which will be handed out to those with reservations. Each camper will receive a 3part parking tag good for one camper and 2 accompanying vehicles (note that a tow vehicle would be considered one of the 2 accompanying vehicles). The fullservice Purina Event Center lot tags are red and the overflow lot tags are yellow. The large portion of the tag must be visible inside the camper at all times. The 2 tear off cards should be placed in each of the 2 vehicles accompanying the camper, and must also be visible at all times.
Tow vehicle must be disconnected from RVs during your visit. A maximum of 2 cars affiliated with the RV may park in the RV spot. Any vehicle parking in an RV spot and not affiliated with the RV will be asked to move or be towed at the owner’s expense.
In case of a medical emergency in the RV lot in the evening or during the night, please turn on the RV’s outside lights to help responders identify the RV. Call 3149822222 or 6362211428 to reach Purina security.
Exhibitors may not bring or use motorized vehicles, such as golf carts on Purina’s property unless for a medical conditions. Documentation must be presented if requested by the staff at Purina. Such vehicles may not park on sidewalks.
If you grill close to your camper, please let the coals burn overnight. In the morning, bag them and put them in a trash container. NO OPEN CAMPFIRES. Your dogs’ safety is important. Please keep them on a leash or crated when not competing in an event.
Exercise pens are not allowed IN OR AROUND THE IMMEDIATE PERIMETER OF THE Purina Event Center. Exercise pens on designated grassy areas should not have a floor or cover which could damage the grass.
Do not block routes which may be needed by emergency vehicles.

BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS ELIGIBILITY The BredbyExhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are: • Six months of age or older as of the first day of the show. • Not Champions of record on the date of closing of entries for the show. • Individually registered with The American Kennel Club as of the date of closing of entries for the show. • Owned or coowned by any of the breeders of record as of the date of the closing of entries for the show. • The person handling the dog in this class must be a breeder of record and an owner of record of this dog. In any subsequent classes for which a dog from the Bredby Exhibitor class becomes eligible, there are no restric ons as to who may handle
Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries The following nonregular classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches

BEST BREDBY EXHIBITOR COMPETITION RULES: During the course of regular judging, the assigned judge will select a Best BredBy Exhibitor from the BredBy Exhibitor class winners. This will be done after the Best of Breed/Variety Competition unless the Best BredBy Exhibitor award is automatic. Example: An entry from the BredBy Exhibitor class is awarded Best of Winners or Best of Breed. Only dogs and bitches undefeated in a BredBy Exhibitor class are eligible for the Best BredBy Exhibitor Competition. If the first place winner is not present, the second place winner may not compete. NO ADDITIONAL FEE IS REQUIRED. BEST PUPPY COMPETITION RULES: During regular judging, the assigned judge will select a Best Puppy from the Puppy (69 & 912) class winners. Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries Stud Dog Class – For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered in one of the Regular or NonRegular Classes or, if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed compe on, but must be entered in the Stud Dog class. The Stud Dog may be entered in the Stud Dog Class only at the regular entry fee. The Get must be entered in one of the Regular Classes or, if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed compe on. The Stud Dog shall be considered one entry and requires one entry fee. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condi on that would require its disqualifica on or excusal under the dog show rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed.
Brood Bitch Class same as for Stud Dog except subs tute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.
*Chapter 11, Sec on 8 of the "Rules Applying to Dog Shows" provides that a neutered male may be en tered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed Bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.

Team Class A team is defined as four dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of four handlers. All dogs compe ng in team compe on must have at least one common owner. The dogs comprising a Team must be named at the me the entry is made and must be entered in another class. Generations Class: Each entry will consist of three Field Spaniels from three consecu ve genera ons. The Grandsire or Granddam is actually the primary dog/bitch entered on the entry form. The grandsire and/or granddam may be neutered or spayed unless they are represen ng another maturity entry as a sire and/or dam or get. The dogs comprising a Generations Class Entry must be named at the me the entry is made and must be entered in another class. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Generations Class must be marked accordingly in the space provided for “Addi onal Class." If more than one set of Generations Class entries is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising each Generations entry must be so designated “Generations entry No. 1,” “Generations entry No. 2.” Please submit Generations entries together if possible.
As the judge's decision in the Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Brace, Team, and Generations classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won any of these classes.

Junior Showmanship Competition Novice • Open • Master Class
Novice Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competi tion present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. Open Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class or if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Master Class for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all partici
pants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. No entry may be changed or canceled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Superintendent or Show Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made from one age division to anoth er, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department (919) 2339767.

Perpetual Trophies R.H. SQUIER’S BREEDER’S TROPHY (Perpetual) Offered to the Breeder of the Best of Breed at the FSSA Na onal Specialty Show. It is a silver plated loving cup on a mul ered wood base. The name of each winning dog and breeder will be engraved on a plate to be a ached to the base. Commemora ve plaques are awarded.
LYDEMOOR PERPETUAL TROPHY Offered to the owner or coowners of Best of Breed at the FSSA Na onal Specialty Show. This award was donated by Don and Margaret Nicholls, Lydemoor Field Spaniels, Bristol, England. First offered at the 1992 Na onal Specialty, it is a silver plated 16” oval burgundy tray (value $120). Commemora ve plaques are awarded.
MAYDENE PERPETUAL TROPHY Offered for the Field Spaniel an overseas visitor would “most like to take home with him or her.” Donated by Phyllis Goodwin in 1995, Maydene Field Spaniels, England, it is a silver plated loving cup trophy on walnut base, to be awarded by an overseas Field Spaniel fancier exhibitor/visitor a ending the FSSA Na onal Specialty show on a basis of observa on at the specialty event. It is to be a “fun trophy.” The name of the winner is to be kept secret un l announced during the awards presenta ons. The name of the winner and year are engraved on a plate on the trophy base each year that the trophy is awarded. As the trophy offer requires award by an overseas visitor, there may be years in which the trophy is not awarded. In the event that there is more one eligible “visitor,” the Na onal Specialty Show Commi ee shall choose from among the visi tors to adjudicate the trophy. Commemora ve plaques are awarded.
CH WICKSFORD’S A TOUCH OF MAGIC AND CH WICKSFORD’S LILLIBET BRACE TROPHY Best Brace Na onal Perpetual Trophy Proposal June and George O’Neil and Lori Carver offer this trophy to honor and memorialize the first Field Spaniel Brace to be awarded Best Brace in Show at an allbreed show. The trophy will consist of an oval 10 inch silver dish to be mounted on a base. It is to be awarded at the Na onal Specialty Banquet. At this me, no commemora ves will be offered.
CLARA CHALLENGE TROPHY Clara Challenge Trophy offered for the owner or coowners of the Highest Scoring Dog in Regular Classes at the FSSA Na onal Specialty Show. The Clara Trophy is a 10” Silver Revere bowl on a walnut base (value $135), donated by Becki Jo and Frank Wolkenheim, Calico, in memory of Ch Squier’s Clara Barton UD. We are pleased to present the MVF Challenge again this year. The challenge is designed to celebrate our incredibly versatile Field Spaniels. There are 5 event types in this challenge: Scent Work, Agility, Obedience, Rally and Conformation. This event will take place during our National and uses those events and the scores/placements received during them to rank dogs entered based on points. A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.
RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Superintendent will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash-only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.
No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb- ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.
Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/ processing fee per entry. No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. Attention Exhibitors The Show site is available to FSSA exhibitors from 3 PM to 9 PM Monday, September 13, 2021 and after 6 AM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Set up for FSSA reserved grooming is asked to wait until after 10 am on Tuesday to allow Agility and Scent Work exhibitors to crate for those events. Dogs and all equipment must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show Judging of the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri show on Sunday, September 17, 2021. A security guard will be in the building overnight on Thursday, Sept 16, Friday, Sept 17 and Sat, Sept 18, so dogs may be left in the Purina Event Center overnight on those evenings. In accordance with AKC policy, each dog that is left in in the facility overnight must be identified with a tag stating the owner/agent name and where they can be reached in case of an emergency. In the event of multiple entries, one tag will be sufficient provided it clearly outlines the number of dogs & the area in which they are crated. A tag will be available at the Superintendent’s desk.
RV PARKING GUIDELINES There are seventyfour RV parking spaces behind the Purina Event Center. The fee for parking is $40.00 per night for full service lot; $25.00 for lower lot. Reservations will be made through PURINA (see RV parking information on Page 8). Overflow parking will be located on the gravel lots above the Main Show Field. All RVs will be REQUIRED to show permit to park. Anyone not displaying required permit will be removed from the show site. THERE WILL BE NO RV PARKING OUTSIDE OF ANY DESIGNATED RV LOT. RV reservations will be accepted until the lots are full. Refunds will not be made after entries close on August 25th.
PARKING Exhibitor and visitor parking will be located on blacktop parking lots in front of the Purina Event Center. Vehicles are limited to one parking space. No ExPens or Crates allowed on blacktop, but are allowed on grass areas. No cones allowed in parking areas. No parking in roadways, next to building or on Grass. The THREE RIVERS KENNEL CLUB OF MISSOURI PARKING COMMITTEE will be in charge of all parking for this event.
CRATING & GROOMING Grooming and crating in designated areas only. Reserved Grooming in the Purina Event Center will be 5x10 feet sites with electric on each site. The fee for reserved grooming area is $25.00 for the entire event. Reservations may be made to the Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri (see grooming area appli cation on Page 7) There are a limited number of free grooming spaces (no electric) on a first come basis. Chairs will not be allowed in FREE grooming area. Bathing of dogs limited to bathing area, located next to grooming area. No dogs allowed in bathrooms. Dogs may be left in the building overnight Thursday, Sep 16, Friday, Sep 17 and Sat, Sep 18. There will be a Security Guard. The Building will be locked at 10 pm and opened at 6 am. NO CRATES MAY BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON THE FLOORING SURFACE IN THE GREAT HALL. THERE MUST BE PLASTIC OR A RUG UNDER THE CRATE. ALL GROOMING TABLES MUST HAVE RUBBER OF PLASTIC CAPS ON THE END OF THE LEGS OF THE TABLE. No cones are allowed inside building. NO ExPens allowed inside building at any time. NO SOFTSIDED CRATES ALLOWED. Please stack your crates and limit number of tables. All vehicles must leave their headlights on while unloading. All exhibitors must abide by the 15minute unloading/loading parking time limit designated around the Purina Event Center. NO VEHICLES MAY BE PARKED NEXT TO BUILDING OR IN ANY ROADWAY. VIO LATORS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.
EXHIBITORS & GUESTS No one is permitted anywhere that is marked “Employees Only” and/or “No Admittance.” These are separate divisions of Purina and are not part of the show grounds. No person or dogs are allowed on the second floor of the Purina Event Center. “If your child is in a stroller, keep a respectful distance from dogs, particularly dogs whose heads are at the same level as your child. Be very careful when near dogs so that you don’t run over tails or feet or bump into them. Be sure your child does not reach out to touch a dog without owner’s permission. No cones allowed inside building. No firearms allowed on Purina Property. No outside food or beverage is allowed in the Purina Event Center or other venues. Violators will be reported to the AKC. No Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) in the Build ing. No helium balloons allowed in either Hall. No glitter or confetti allowed in the facility. No Duct Tape to be used in the facility. Only painter’s tape or gaffer’s tape may be used.
HOTELS Exhibitors are expected to maintain their premises & their dogs (both at hotels & on the show grounds) in a quiet, clean & wellkept manner. Hotels have been requested to report violations to the showgiving clubs. Offenses may result in an Event Committee hearing. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show None will be mailed. Trophies not claimed will be come the property of the showgiving club.
The Clubs reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Three Rivers Kennel Club of Missouri welcomes you to Purina Farms. Purina Farms has a great RV area. Please enjoy your stay and the shows.
Reservations for RV parking spots at Purina can be made ONLINE for September 9th through 16th. Exhibitors may
choose their own RV spot; first come, first served.
The Full Service Lot offers water, sewer, and electric and is $40 per night.

Handicapped RV spaces are NOT available. RV reservations will be accepted until the lots are full. There will be NO RV PARKING OUTSIDE ANY DESIGNATED RV LOTS. NO TENT CAMPING ALLOWED.
Some RV spots will be reserved by multiple exhibitors, but on different nights between September 9th and
September 16th. Please read below and be sure you understand the process.
When an exhibitor arrives in an RV the exhibitor must check in with Purina Farms security at the front entrance
gate to confirm that their assigned RV space is available. Please have the assigned RV space # that you chose
when you made your online reservation handy for security when they ask. If your spot is available, you will be
escorted to your spot by Purina Farms security to park. If your spot is still occupied, you will be instructed to park
in a designated holding lot which will be either the outdoor agility field or the parking lot below the main show
field until your spot becomes available. You will be contacted by Purina Farms security the minute your spot
becomes available.
RV CHECK OUT TIME IS 6 P.M. RVs WITHOUT A RESERVATION FOR THE CURRENT NIGHT ARE SUBJECT TO TOWING IF NOT OUT OF THE SPACE BY 6 P.M.
There will be NO overnight parking on the holding lots. If you are renting an RV, please be sure to let the company
know all RVs without reservations for the night must be out of the lot BEFORE 6 P.M.
If you plan to arrive early in the day, please consider reserving the RV space for the previous night to be sure it
will be available before 6 P.M.
Please Note: Quiet Hours are from 11 PM to 6 AM. RVs may not move in or out during quiet hours. RVs arriving at Purina Farms after 11:00 pm will be escorted to one of the holding lots at the Outdoor Agility Field or the Lower Main Show Field lot. Late arrivals will then be escorted to their reserved RV spots after 6:00 am when Quiet Hours conclude.
All RVs will be REQUIRED to display a parking permit which will be handed out to those with reservations. Each camper will receive a 3part parking tag good for one camper and 2 accompanying vehicles (note that a tow vehicle would be considered one of the 2 accompanying vehicles). The fullservice Purina Event Center lot tags are red and the overflow lot tags are yellow. The large portion of the tag must be visible inside the camper at all times. The 2 tear off cards should be placed in each of the 2 vehicles accompanying the camper, and must also be visible at all times.
Tow vehicle must be disconnected from RVs during your visit. A maximum of 2 cars affiliated with the RV may park in the RV spot. Any vehicle parking in an RV spot and not affiliated with the RV will be asked to move or be towed at the owner’s expense.
In case of a medical emergency in the RV lot in the evening or during the night, please turn on the RV’s outside lights to help responders identify the RV. Call 3149822222 or 6362211428 to reach Purina security.
Exhibitors may not bring or use motorized vehicles, such as golf carts on Purina’s property unless for a medical conditions. Documentation must be presented if requested by the staff at Purina. Such vehicles may not park on sidewalks.
If you grill close to your camper, please let the coals burn overnight. In the morning, bag them and put them in a trash container. NO OPEN CAMPFIRES. Your dogs’ safety is important. Please keep them on a leash or crated when not competing in an event.
Exercise pens are not allowed IN OR AROUND THE IMMEDIATE PERIMETER OF THE Purina Event Center. Exercise pens on designated grassy areas should not have a floor or cover which could damage the grass.
Do not block routes which may be needed by emergency vehicles.

BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS ELIGIBILITY The BredbyExhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are: • Six months of age or older as of the first day of the show. • Not Champions of record on the date of closing of entries for the show. • Individually registered with The American Kennel Club as of the date of closing of entries for the show. • Owned or coowned by any of the breeders of record as of the date of the closing of entries for the show. • The person handling the dog in this class must be a breeder of record and an owner of record of this dog. In any subsequent classes for which a dog from the Bredby Exhibitor class becomes eligible, there are no restric ons as to who may handle
Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries The following nonregular classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches

Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries Stud Dog Class – For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered in one of the Regular or NonRegular Classes or, if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed compe on, but must be entered in the Stud Dog class. The Stud Dog may be entered in the Stud Dog Class only at the regular entry fee. The Get must be entered in one of the Regular Classes or, if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed compe on. The Stud Dog shall be considered one entry and requires one entry fee. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condi on that would require its disqualifica on or excusal under the dog show rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed.
Brood Bitch Class same as for Stud Dog except subs tute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.
*Chapter 11, Sec on 8 of the "Rules Applying to Dog Shows" provides that a neutered male may be en tered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed Bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.
Brace Class A brace is defined as two dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs compe ng in brace compe on must have at least one common owner. The dogs comprising a Brace must be named at the me the entry is made and must be entered in another class. An entry form for a dog en tered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for “Addi onal Class” if more than one Brace is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising each Brace must be so designated “Brace No. 1,” “Brace No. 2.” Please submit brace entries together.
Team Class A team is defined as four dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of four handlers. All dogs compe ng in team compe on must have at least one common owner. The dogs comprising a Team must be named at the me the entry is made and must be entered in another class. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Team must be marked accordingly in the space provided for “Addi onal Class” if more than one Team is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising each Team must be so designated “Team No. 1,” “Team No. 2.” Please submit team entries together.
Generations Class: Each entry will consist of three Field Spaniels from three consecu ve genera ons. The Grandsire or Granddam is actually the primary dog/bitch entered on the entry form. The grandsire and/or granddam may be neutered or spayed unless they are represen ng another maturity entry as a sire and/or dam or get. The dogs comprising a Generations Class Entry must be named at the me the entry is made and must be entered in another class. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Generations Class must be marked accordingly in the space provided for “Addi onal Class." If more than one set of Generations Class entries is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising each Generations entry must be so designated “Generations entry No. 1,” “Generations entry No. 2.” Please submit Generations entries together if possible.
As the judge's decision in the Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Brace, Team, and Generations classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won any of these classes.

Junior Showmanship Competition Novice • Open • Master Class
Novice Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competi tion present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. Open Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class or if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Master Class for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all partici
pants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. No entry may be changed or canceled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Superintendent or Show Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made from one age division to anoth er, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department (919) 2339767.

Perpetual Trophies R.H. SQUIER’S BREEDER’S TROPHY (Perpetual) Offered to the Breeder of the Best of Breed at the FSSA Na onal Specialty Show. It is a silver plated loving cup on a mul ered wood base. The name of each winning dog and breeder will be engraved on a plate to be a ached to the base. Commemora ve plaques are awarded.
LYDEMOOR PERPETUAL TROPHY Offered to the owner or coowners of Best of Breed at the FSSA Na onal Specialty Show. This award was donated by Don and Margaret Nicholls, Lydemoor Field Spaniels, Bristol, England. First offered at the 1992 Na onal Specialty, it is a silver plated 16” oval burgundy tray (value $120). Commemora ve plaques are awarded.
MAYDENE PERPETUAL TROPHY Offered for the Field Spaniel an overseas visitor would “most like to take home with him or her.” Donated by Phyllis Goodwin in 1995, Maydene Field Spaniels, England, it is a silver plated loving cup trophy on walnut base, to be awarded by an overseas Field Spaniel fancier exhibitor/visitor a ending the FSSA Na onal Specialty show on a basis of observa on at the specialty event. It is to be a “fun trophy.” The name of the winner is to be kept secret un l announced during the awards presenta ons. The name of the winner and year are engraved on a plate on the trophy base each year that the trophy is awarded. As the trophy offer requires award by an overseas visitor, there may be years in which the trophy is not awarded. In the event that there is more one eligible “visitor,” the Na onal Specialty Show Commi ee shall choose from among the visi tors to adjudicate the trophy. Commemora ve plaques are awarded.
CH WICKSFORD’S A TOUCH OF MAGIC AND CH WICKSFORD’S LILLIBET BRACE TROPHY Best Brace Na onal Perpetual Trophy Proposal June and George O’Neil and Lori Carver offer this trophy to honor and memorialize the first Field Spaniel Brace to be awarded Best Brace in Show at an allbreed show. The trophy will consist of an oval 10 inch silver dish to be mounted on a base. It is to be awarded at the Na onal Specialty Banquet. At this me, no commemora ves will be offered.
CLARA CHALLENGE TROPHY Clara Challenge Trophy offered for the owner or coowners of the Highest Scoring Dog in Regular Classes at the FSSA Na onal Specialty Show. The Clara Trophy is a 10” Silver Revere bowl on a walnut base (value $135), donated by Becki Jo and Frank Wolkenheim, Calico, in memory of Ch Squier’s Clara Barton UD. Commemora ve plaques are awarded.

We are pleased to present the MVF Challenge again this year. The challenge is designed to celebrate our incredibly versatile Field Spaniels. There are 5 event types in this challenge: Scent Work, Agility, Obedience, Rally and Conformation. This event will take place during our National and uses those events and the scores/placements received during them to rank dogs entered based on points. Entries Not On Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable after closing via mail or email. Should acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time. Please notify our office.

No Faxed Entries Accepted CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER- NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.
A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.
RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Superintendent will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash-only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.
No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb- ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.
Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/ processing fee per entry. No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. PUBLICATION RIGHTS By entering this show, all owners, handlers, breeders and kennels agree that all rights to televise, videotape, photograph, advertise, promote and publicize or otherwise exploit this show, or the persons or animals participating in it or the results of the competition before, during or after the event, shall belong solely to The American Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including the use of the names, likenesses or biographical matter of all dogs, owners, handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the show and no such owner, handler, breeder or kennel shall allow any other party to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph of any person or animal participating in this competition.
