Wiring Instructions for Factory Up�tter Switches

The following instructions are for installation & wiring for 2011-2015 Ford Super Duty equipped with OEM Up�tter switches.

If your vehicle was not equipped from the factory with the Up�tter switches, they can be purchased through your local Ford dealer, along with the associated wiring harness.

A universal wiring harness is included that can be modi�ed for trucks without Up�tter switches.

Identify Up�tter wiring harness, located near driver’s side kick panel, above emergency brake pedal. This is where you will obtain power for the 20” E-Series light bar.

Switch 1 – Yellow - (20A fused) Recommended location for 20” E-Series

Switch 2 – Green with Brown Stripe – (20A fused)

Switch 3 – Violet with Green Stripe – (10A fused)

Switch 4 – Brown (15A fused)

Important

Thank you for purchasing Rigid Industries® products for your Ford Super Duty. Installation is fairly simple with the right tools and good mechanical abilities. If you are not con�dent in your mechanical skills, please seek the help of a professional to perform the installation.Please read through all of these instructions and tips before proceeding with the installation.

It is strongly recommended that this product be installed by a professional.

Always disconnect any power sources connected to your vehicle before servicing fuses or electrical systems.

Suggested grounding location is shown highlighted in the photo below.

Find a suitable location in the body to pass the wiring harness for the light bar through vehicle cab. Ensure wiring is routed to prevent cha�ng.

The bracket supplied with this kit has been designed to use pre-existing holes in the bumper from the factory, so NO drilling is required. When installing the bracket, it is critical to leave all bolts slightly loose until the �nal step. This will ensure proper positioning of the light and bracket.

Note, on vehicles equipped with the factory engine block heaterThe wiring harness for the engine block heater will need to be relocated slightly in order to utilize the factory holes for the light bar mounting brackets. Relocate block heater harness to suitable location.

step 4 Mounting of Light Bracket

Install supplied clip into this location after harness is removed and relocated.

Install supplied clip into corresponding location on driver’s side.

This will be the location where the bracket will bolt to in the rear of the light.

Install supplied fastener clips (2ea) into top section of bumper opening as indicated in photo below.

This is the location where the bracket will bolt to the front of the light bar.

Install bracket using supplied hardware, make sure all bolts are slightly loose until �nal assembly.

Remove nuts from side of light bar and place light into position on bracket.(Do not reinstall nuts at this time.)

step 7

Remove 8mm bolts from bottom of bumper opening and install bracket side supporters as shown below. Reinstall nut onto light bar and check alignment.

Once satis�ed with alignment and position of bracket, tighten all bolts and nuts.

Connect light bar pigtail to wiring harness (previously installed).
