Vector graphics is the use of points, lines, curves and polygons to represent images in computer graphics. Vector Imagery is usually created in Illustrator, as opposed to Photoshop which uses raster graphics.

The human eye works as a bitmap picture - it catches the image in a mosaic raster. But the brain - according to recent studies - handles it as a vector image, perhaps because this is easier to store. This serves as an explanation for the fact that logos and signs with easy and geometric shapes are more easily remembered and recognized, for example road signs.

With the growth of the Internet and computer game design, pixels have become an increasingly mainstream tool, as well as one of the most rapidly evolving graphic art forms in the 21st century.

Short for ‘Picture Element,’ (‘pix’ & ‘el’) a pixel is a single point in a graphic image, an atom sized element of visual representation in imagery.

Eboy have become a phenomenon in digital imagery. Steffen, Svend, Kai and Peter founded Eboy in 1998 and work out of their two studios in Berlin and New York.

They draw inspiration from Pop culture, shopping, supermarkets, TV, toy commercials, LEGO, the news, magazines etc
