5. Panel Specifications

When you measure and order the Shutter panels, the panel sizes must are not over the

maximum width and drop. The size limitation varies from the deferent products and

deferent method of installations, please check the following table carefully. The Factory

will offer any warranty if panels exceeds this limit.

3, Top & Bottom Rail Range

Top and Bottom rail heights are usually in the same size, but when looking in the front of

the panel, the bottom rail appear to be 10mm higher then the top rail, due to the top rail

has a cut out section for blade over lapping in the front of the panel.

The factory will adjust the top and bottom rail height according to the height of the panel

to assure the top and bottom rails are in the right proportion with the panel height. The

table below is the top and bottom rail height range in the deferent height of panels.

However, under certain circumstances, such as to match the similar top and bottom rail

height in the same room, the factory may make the top and bottom rail height deferent

from the formula in this table.,\

4, Mid Rail Specification

4.1 Mid Rail Requirements

In order to ensure strength and stabilities of the panels, Mid Rail is required when

Shutter panels reached to certain heights. The mid rail requirements varies from

deferent materials. Foamwood requires Mid Rail when panel height is or exceed

1600mm; Basswood and Cedar require Mid Rail when panel height is or exceed 1800.

Please refer to the table below for the details.

Mid Rail Position

Mid Rail position is measured from the bottom of the Shutters (including the frame).

However, the Mid Rail position may not be in the exact spot as specified, it varies from

19mm to 50.80mm depending on the size of blades. Please refer to the table below.

4.2 Mid Rail Position

Mid Rail position is measured from the bottom of the Shutters (including the bottom

frame). However, the Mid Rail position may not be in the exact spot as desired, it varies

from 19mm to 50.80mm depending on the size of blades. Please refer to the table

below.

4.3 Critical Mid Rail position

If the Mid Rail position is critical, please state in the “Special Instructions” in the Order

Form. However, critical mid rail position may incur in the bottom rail smaller or much

bigger then the top rail which might be not perfect for visual effects.

5 Tilt Rod

There are two types of tilt rods, Centre Tilt Rod and concealed Clearview Tilt Rod.

Centre Tilt Rod

Centre Tilt Rod positioned in the middle of the panel. For

bi-fold Shutters linked with more then 2 panels, the Tilt Rod

will be one tilt rod size off the centre to allow the panels fold

flat against each other. Centre Tilt Rod made of PVC for all

timber and Foamwood Shutters, due to PVC’s advantage of

stability.

Offset Tilt Rod

Offset Tilt Rod will be placed 40mm from the edge of the

panel. And the Tilt Rod will be in the hinge side or the wall

side.

Off Centre Tilt Rod

Off Centre Tilt Rod means the Tilt Rod is installed 10mm off

the centre of the panel, towards to the hinge side or the wall

side.

Clearview Tilt Rod

The aluminium Clearview Tilt Rod is connected to the end of

the blade, and there is a cutout on the edge of the blade

where the Tilt Rod connected.

Better don’t link too many blades in one CV tilt rod. The less

number of blades linked to a CV Tilt Rod, the blades close

better. There is a limitation on the quantity of blades for CV

Tilt Rod, please refer to the chart below.

If the CV Tilt Rod exceeds the limitation, the factory will

automatically split the Tile Rod into two sections. If the blades

are in a odd number, the lower section will be the large

number.
