Overview
• CATIA contains “Groups” of dedicated commands and interfaces called “Workbenches”
• One of the workbenches dedicated to use for designing of Pipe arrangements is called “Piping Design Workbench”
• At CERN the workbench is accessible only with dedicated CATIA setting in the launcher called “Equipment Systems”

Conclusion
• Highly specialized and rigid workbench
• Very handy for restricted use cases
• Collection of user needs and feedback collection exceeded 60% of implementation time mainly because of user fluctuation at CERN and non-availability of users to test
• Setup fully according the needs of EN/CV-DOW
• The external specialist invited to confirm the setup was overwhelmed by the complexity
