PA_ADAPTER

This table contains the predefined and user defined adapters found in the System Administration module under Device Management > Device Catalog (Types) > Adapters.

No Attribute Definition

1. PA_ADAPTERID Auto generated unique sequence number used to identify each adapter entry

2. PA_DISPLAYNAME The text displayed in the PIM software used to identify the adaptar. This text is either populated by the discovery process or manually entered by the system user.

3. PA_DESCRIPTION This field contains the text entered/displayed in the text box labeled “Description” in the Adapters tab. This text is also displayed in the left hand tree structure contained in the tab Device Management>Device Catalog under the branch/folder labeled “Adapters”.

4. PA_VENDORID This field indentifies the vendor/manufacture of each adapter entry. The PA_VENDORID value originates from the identifying field of the PA_VENDOR table which contains specific details for each vendor.

5. PA_VENDORPARTNUMBER This field contains the text entered/displayed in the text box labeled “Part Number” in the Adapters tab

6. PA_NUMBEROFPORTS This field contains the number of ports entered/displayed in the form field labeled “Number of Ports” in the Adapters tab

7. PA_COMMENTS

This field contains the user provided text contained in the text box labeled “Notes” in the Adapters tab

8. PA_ICONFILEPATH

This field contains the file path to the image/icon used to visually represent the adapter in the various tree structures and forms within the PIM user interface. The default value for this path is …/TreeNodes/device_20x20.gif. The path is relative to the installation location of the PIM client software. The images can be found in <Installation folder>\conf\resources\images\.

9. PA_SLOTNO The field contains the slot number of the adapter obtained through discovery process or manually entered by the system user.

10. PA_PRODUCTFAMILY

This field contains the user provided text contained in the text box labeled “Product Family” in the Adapters tab

11. PA_EQUIPMENTTYPEID

This field contains the unique Id number from the PA_EQUIPMENTTYPE table. This field corresponds with the drop down box labeled “Equipment Type” in the Adapters tab. The dropdown box on this page does not display the numerical value, but rather, the textual description of the available equipment types

12. PA_CLASSTYPE

This field contains the user provided text contained in the drop down box labeled “Class” in the Adapters tab. The drop down box contains the textual description [Copper, Fiber] while the field itself contains the numerical code for each class type [Copper = 1, Fiber = 2].

13. PA_PERFORMANCE

This field contains the user provided text contained in the text box labeled “Performance” in the Adapters tab

14. PA_ENVIRONMENTAL

This field contains the user provided text contained in the text box labeled “Environmental” in the Adapters tab

15. PA_SERVICE This field contains the service type.

PA_ASSETATTRIBUTEGROUP

This table contains the predefined and user defined asset attributes.

1. PA_GROUPID Generated

2. PA_DEFAULTNAME Will be used to store the default value of the group. It will hold the locale key defined in the pa_locale table. This column would be upgradeable.

3. PA_DISPLAYNAME Will be used to display the actual name of the Group on the GUI. For AT 1.1 this column would be upgradeable as there is no way by which the user can rename the group names.

4. PA_ASSETCATEGORY Will be used to store the reference of the asset category. This column will be upgradeable.

5. PA_ASSETSCOPE Will be used to store the reference of the scope (Global / Asset) Table 3 – PA_ASSETATTRIBUTELIST

PA_ASSETATTRIBUTELIST

This table contains the predefined and user defined attributes of an asset within PIM.

No Attribute Definition

1. PA_ASSETATTRIBUTEID Auto-numbered unique id.

2. PA_ASSETATTRIBUTENAME Name of attribute, should store the db / hibernate field name (TBD) to be able to match to legacy table field (method). Never change.

3. PA_ASSETDISPLAYNAME Exact value of the PA_VARIABLENAME from PA_LOCALE table (for internationalization) for GUI to display.

4. PA_ASSETATTRIBUTESCOPE Global or Asset Specific.

5. PA_ASSETATTRIBUTECATEGORY 1 - Device, 2 - Container, 3 – could be something new

PA_ASSETLIST

This table contains the predefined and user defined attributes of an asset within PIM.

1. PA_ASSETID PA_ASSETID identifies PA_ASSETLIST (auto-numbered)

2. PA_PARENTID PA_PARENTID for asset. It can be the container id, container type id, device id or device type id

3. PA_ASSETATTRIBUTEID FK references PA_ASSETATTRIBUTELIST.PA_ASSETATTRIBUTEID

4. PA_ASSETVALUE Attribute value stored as String. Measure System METRIC always used to store attributes values (where apply)

5. PA_MEASURESYSTEM STANDARD (0) / METRIC (1). Contains the last choice made by the user (Metric / Standard) or default value.

PA_CABLETYPE

This table contains the predefined and user defined cables found in the System Administration module under Device Management>Device Catalog (Types)>Cabling.

1. PA_CABLETYPE Auto generated sequence number used to indentify each cable type entry.

2. PA_DESCRIPTION

This field contains the text entered/displayed in the textbox labeled “Description” in the data entry cabling form. This text is also displayed in the left hand tree structure contained in the tab Device Management>Device Catalog under the branch/folder named “Cabling”.

3. PA_PRODUCTFAMILY This field contains the text entered/displayed in the textbox labeled “Product Family” in the Cabling tab.

4. PA_EQUIPMENTTYPEID

This field contains the unique Id number from the PA_EQUIPMENTTYPE table. This field corresponds with the dropdown box labeled “Equipment Type” in the Cabling tab. The dropdown box on this page does not display the numerical value, but rather, the textual description of the available equipment types.

5. PA_ICONFILEPATH

11. PA_ENDPOINTB This field contains the end point device B type.

12. PA_ENDPOINTBCOLOR This field contains the color of the end point B device.

13. PA_PARTNUMBER This field contains the adapter part number.

14. PA_PERFORMANCE This contains the performance information of the adaptor.

15. PA_VENDORID This contains the adaptor vendor ID

16. PA_ENVIRONMENTALS This contains the environmental information

17. PA_NOTES This field contains the notes pertaining to the adaptor.

PA_CONTAINER

This table contains all discovered and created infrastructure units that can contain other devices (Racks, Faceplates, etc.)

1. PA_CONTAINERID Auto generated sequence number used to indentify each cable type entry.

2. PA_CONTAINERTYPEID

Foreign Key to PA_CONTAINERTYPE table which is used to identify the specific type of container

3. PA_DISPLAYNAME

The text displayed in the PIM software used to identify the container. This text is either populated by the discovery process or manually entered by the system user.

4. PA_LOCATIONID

Numerical value used to identify the location the container has been allocated to within infrastructure management. The value -1 indicates the container is unallocated (not assigned to a location).

5. PA_ROWCOUNT This field stores a count of the row in the container.

6. PA_COLUMNCOUNT This field stores a count of the column in the container. Table 7 – PA_DEVICEPORT

PA_DEVICEPORT PA_DEVICEPORT contains the list of available ports for each device discovered and listed in table PA_DEVICE. Each enumerated port contains detailed information related to each port such as port type, active status, connector type, position, etc. Port information is dynamic and is updated as SNMP trap messages are received from the PIM software. (Note: MNS devices may have additional information available in the PA_MNSDEVICEPORT table)

1. PA_DEVICEID Auto-generated sequence number.

2. PA_MEDIATYPEID This field contains the unique id from table PA_MEDIATYPE which defines the type of media connected to each port (Fiber, Copper, and Wireless).

3. PA_PORTNUMBER

This field contains the port number of each port of the device defined by the field PA_DEVICEID. This field contains the second half of the multi-key primary key defined for this table.

4. PA_DISPLAYNAME This field contains the text displayed within the PIM software for each device port.

5. PA_ISRESERVED This field stores the status of the port of the device.

6. PA_POESTATUS This field stores the status of the port of the DoE device.

7. PA_ PORTSTATUS This field contains a flag indicating whether or not the port is active on the network. The valid values are “0” (inactive) and “1” (active).

8. PA_ORDERINFO This field contains the order information.

9. PA_SECURELINK This field contains the secure link information.

10. PA_PORTTYPE This field contains the port type.

11. PA_CONNECTORTYPE This field contains the connector type.

12. PA_LOCKMODE This field contains the lock mode information.

13. PA_ISTRUNKPORT This field contains a flag indicating if the defined port is the trunk port.

14. PA_ISMGMTPORT This field contains a flag indicating whether or not the port is a management port.

15. PA_IFINDEX This field contains the interface index of the port.

16. PA_LINKSTATUS This field contains the information about the link status.

17. PA_LINKUPTIME This field contains the time that the port has been up.

18. PA_CHASSISINDEX This filed contains the index of the chassis.

19. PA_SLOTID This field contains the slot location where the device is installed.

20. PA_BLADEINDEX This field contains the index of the blade.

21. PA_BLADEPORTINDEX This field contains the port index of the blade.

22. PA_BLADEPORTNUMBER This field contains the port number of the blade.

23. PA_ISTRUNKDETECTION This field contains a flag indicating that the port is trunk or not.

24. PA_LASTENDDEV This field contains the name of the last device on the port.

25. PA_LASTENDDEVIP This field contains the IP of the last device on the port.

26. PA_PORTVIOLATIONSTATUS This field contains a flag indicating the violation status on the port.

27. PA_TRAPNUMBER This field contains the trap number.

28. PA_EVENTLOGID This field contains the ID of the event log.

29. PA_PARENTID This field contains the ID of the parent device

30. PA_GRANDPARENTID This field contains the ID of the grand-parent device

PA_DEVICE PA_DEVICE contains each device in the network that has been identified through the automatic discovery process in the PIM Infrastructure module or any device that has been manually added by the user. (Note: MNS devices may have additional information available in the PA_MNSDEVICE table)

1. PA_DEVICEID This field contains the device id from PA_DEVICE that the record for each port belongs to. This field forms first half the multi-key primary key for this table.

2. PA_DEVICETYPE

This field contains the numeric reference to PA_DEVICETYPE table used to identify device type.

3. PA_DEVICETYPEMODIFIED This field contains the modified device type.

4. PA_DISPLAYNAME

The field contains the text displayed for the device throughout the PIM application.

5. PA_LOCATIONID This field contains the numeric reference to the PA_LOCATION table.

6. PA_NUMBERPORTS The total number of ports available for devices with ports.

7. PA_NUMBERMGMTPORTS This field contains the total number of management ports on the device.

8. PA_MAC This field contains the string representation of the MAC address for each device.

9. PA_IPADDRESS This field contains the string representation of the IP address for each device.

10. PA_SYSOBJECTID This field contains the SNMP MIB id.

11. PA_SYSLOCATION

The field contains the location of the item in the PIM system hierarchy. This storage scheme may be depreciated after serpentine.

12. PA_IPTYPE This field contains the IP address type.

13. PA_COMMENT

This field stores the text saved in the “comments” text box for devices in the Infrastructure Management module.

14. PA_CONTAINERID

This field contains the numeric id of the container (from PA_CONTAINER) that the device is placed within.

15. PA_CONTAINERPOSITION

This field contains the physical numerical position of the device in the container in which it is located.

16. PA_CONNECTIONTYPE This field contains the connection type.

17. PA_ISALIVE

This field contains a flag indicating the device reporting itself as active on the network. The valid values are “0” and “1”.

18. PA_ISALIVEMODIFIEDAT This field contains the date that the field PA_ISALIVE was last modified.

19. PA_SUBNETMASK This field contains the subnet mask of the device.

20. PA_GATEWAY This field contains the gateway of the device.

21. PA_ISPOWERSUPPLY This field contains a flag indicating whether or not the device is a networked power supply. The valid values are “0” and “1”.

22. PA_HARDWAREVERSION This field contains the hardware version of the device.

23. PA_FIRMWAREVERSION This field contains the current firmware version of the device.

24. PA_CONTACTNAME This field contains the name of the contact person.

25. PA_EMPLOYEEID This field contains the ID of the employee.

27. PA_DUPLICATEDEVICENAME This field contains the duplicate name of the device.

31. PA_MANAGEDPORTNUMBER This field contains the total number of managed ports on the device.

32. PA_CALCULATEDIP This field contains the calculated IP address.

33. PA_DRIVERID This field contains the ID of the driver.

34. PA_DEVICESOURCE This field contains the source of the device.

35. PA_OS This field contains the Operating System (OS) of the device.

36. PA_SYSDESCR This field contains the system description of the device.

37. PA_LINKSTATUS This field contains the link status.

38. PA_RACKCOLUMN This field contains the rack column.

PA_DEVICETYPE

This table contains the available device types for each discovered device in the PIM software (e.g. Device Type field in the PIM Infrastructure Module).

1. PA_DEVICETYPE Auto-generated sequence number. Uniquely indentifies each device type.

2. PA_DESCRIPTION This field contains the textual description of the defined device type.

3. PA_SYSOBJECTID This field contains the SNMP MIB id. This SNMP MIB value indicates the reporting capabilities of the device.

4. PA_NUMBERPORTS This field contains the standard number of port for each defined device type/

5. PA_NUMBERMGMTPORTS This field contains the total number of management ports on the device.

6. PA_MGMTPORTISDUALPORT This field is a flag indicating if the management port is a dual port or not.

7. PA_VENDORID This field contains the ID of the vendor

8. PA_ICONFILEPATH This field contains the relative file path location for the image file used to visually represent the device type in the various PIM modules.

9. PA_ISACTIVE This field contains a flag which indicates if the device is active or not. The valid values are “0” (inactive) and “1” (active).

10. PA_ISDUALPORT This field contains a flag which indicates whether or not the given device type has a dual port setup.

11. PA_NUMRACKSPACES This field gives the number of vertical spaces required in a rack for the device type.

12. PA_ISSWITCHTYPE This field contains a flag indicating if the device type is a switch. The valid values are “0” (not a switch) and “1” (switch).

13. PA_PVMONITORED This is field contains the monitored PV (See the code for info on PV)

14. PA_MACSPECFICATION This field contains the Media Access Control (MAC) specification of the device.

15. PA_DEVICEIMAGEID This field contains the id value from the PA_DEVICEIMAGE table indicating the image to be used for this device type.

16. PA_DEVICEBACKIMAGEID This field contains the ID of the back image to be used.

17. PA_PRODUCTFAMILY This field contains the product family of the device.

18. PA_PERFORMANCE This field contains the performance of the device.

19. PA_BLADE This field contains the name of the blade.

20. PA_CLASSTYPE This field contains the type of the blade.

21. PA_PARTNUMBER This field contains the part number of the device.

22. PA_ENVIRONMENTALS This field contains the environmental information.

23. PA_NOTES This field contains the notes relevant to the device type.

24. PA_RAM This field contains the RAM of the device.

25. PA_CPU This field contains the CPU of the device.

26. PA_FACEPLATETYPE This field contains the face plate type.

27. PA_OUTLETCOLOR This field contains the outlet color.

28. PA_EQUIPMENTTYPEID This field contains the numeric equipment type identifier from the table PA_EQUIPMENTTYPE.

29. PA_PANELTYPE This field contains the panel type.

30. PA_SHIELDTYPE This field contains the shield type.

This table holds the ids and descriptions of the higher level equipment types in the PIM system.

1. PA_EQUIPMENTTYPEID Auto generated sequence number. Uniquely indentifies table rows.

2. PA_CATEGORYID This field contains the foreign key id that links to the PA_CATEGORY id table.

3. PA_EQUIPMENTTYPE This field contains the textual description of the defined equipment type.

4. PA_INTERCONNECTIBLE This field indicates the ability of the equipment type to be inter connectable. The valid values are “0” and “1”.
