We are delighted to present the seventh edition of

PIE Tech - Impressions for this sparkling year 2016.

“Impressions” aims to bring out the buzz in the

campus for the month of October 2016.The three

sections of this Newsletter – College Buzz, Faculty

Buzz and Student Buzz throw light on the activities

& happenings in our Institution.

Placement fervor has set-in this academic year in

PIE Tech and 11 students got placed in this month.

October 1 an On-campus placement drive was

organized for Final year Engineering students for

Velan Info Services Pvt. Ltd. 8 students D. Ajith,

S. Bhuvaneshwari, P. Janani, V. Kalicharan, E. Vani,

S. Sathishkumar, S. Manikanda Karuppusamy,

S. Marimuthu got offers with CTC of 1.2 lakh/annum

for positions of Software Engineer (Trainee) and

Business Analyst.

an Interactive Session with HR Manager -

Mr. V. Nataraja Perumal, Milacron Mold Masters

Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore. II, III and Final

year Mechanical Engineering students participated

Dept. of Science & Humanities organized a

guest Lecture on "English for Specific Purpose".

Resource Person : Mr. Peter Dominic Ryan, Associate

Professor, Head, Dept. of English, VSB College of

Engineering, enlightened the students on the topic.

FACULTY BUZZ

Dr. N. Rajesh Kumar, HOD/ Assistant Professor, ECE

has successfully completed Ph.D. on “Enhancing

Security of SCADA Networks using a Trust System”.

The public viva voce was held on 03.10.2016 at

PSNA college of Engineering and Technology,

Dindigul.

Mohanram. S, Saravanakumar. T, AP/ECE have

successfully completed First module in In-house

Research cell based on Home Automation using

Internet of Things (IoT).

CSE Department published an article in IEEE Xplore

Digital Library on “Rapid Evaluation Based

Feature Diminution Algorithm”.
