PICTURE PAWfectPuppy in the Window

New York, New York- (October 25, 2014) – Every year, retail pet stores across America sell 500,000 dogs, while 5 to 7 million dogs enter shelters. KORA Organics is partnering up with PETA to inspire adoption as a first option. On Saturday, October 25th, dog lovers are encouraged to join this Picture PAWfect event in one of New York’s largest and squarest dog parks, Tompkins Square Dog Run. From noon until three o’clock p.m., dog lovers are heartened, to attend the largest pet fashion event in the world- The 24th Annual Tompkins’s Square Halloween Dog Parade. Following the parade, participants and spectators are urged to attend the Picture PAWfect adoption and fundraising event. Picture PAWfect will start at two o’clock p.m., and will continue until dusk. The event will have an assortment of activities throughout the day, while inspiring families to adopt, not shop. The day will allow dogs and owners to wag around bone shaped pools, a dog wash or even a puppy patch for the little ones. “The cost of transportation for the dogs can be an obstacle, but our partnership with PETA will make it possible to bring more dogs to safety,” says KORA Organics, Managing Director, Miranda Kerr.

KORA and PETA guest speakers will be in attendance, along with celebrity appearances, such as Ryan Gosling, Charlize Theron, Lea Michele, and more. In support of this event, there will be an array of food trucks featuring vegan and vegetarian menu options. Admission is free for Picture PAWfect, and all proceeds made will be donated to the local animal shelters, which will be spotlighted throughout the event.
