Homes and

families

The Picture my World

photographers took photos of

their families.

Some families are very

BIG

and some are quite small!

Some families live together in one place and other families live far apart.

Sometimes different members of a family live in different countries around the world!

Families share

happy times and sad times.

What does the word family mean to you?

Families come in all shapes and sizes!

But some members of our global family do not get a fair share of the things they need. CAFOD works in over 60 countries around the world

to make sure that all our sisters and brothers get a fair share!

CAFOD is working with families in Haiti. This is Carmen and her family. They survived the earthquake in January 2010. CAFOD

is working to make sure they have the things they need.

CAFOD is working with families in El Salvador. The Ramos Laguán family are off to feed their chickens. They make money by selling the

meat and eggs and the whole family have a healthy diet too!

CAFOD is working with families in Nigeria. Latifa is 6 years old and is collecting water from the stream to wash clothes and dishes. Her family don’t have to drink the water from

the stream anymore. Now they have clean safe drinking water

from a rainwater tank provided by CAFOD.

We are all part of

ONE BIG GLOBAL FAMILY!
