What is Picnik?
• Photo editing software– Web-based– Free– Works on Macs, Windows, and Linux
What You Need
• Web Browser– Google Chrome– Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, – Firefox 2.0 or higher, or – Safari 2 or higher
• 512 MB of RAM
Picnik can…
• “Auto-Fix” photos (color, lighting, etc.)
• Crop, resize, and rotate photos• Remove red eyes• Add text and special effects to an
image• Make collages, cards, gifts, etc.
Picnik Tidbits
• Advanced photo editing tools are available for a subscription fee
• Instructions are provided in pop-up windows for tools as you access them
• Connect directly through Picnik to edit and enhance photos in existing albums
• Edit photos in Picnik and send them directly to your albums

• Go to Picnik: http://www.picnik.com/• Click on Get Started Now • Either upload an image or open a demo
photo– Rotate the image – Crop to a detail– Change the contrast (under Exposure)– Change the saturation (under Colors)– Add text (“text” in the top menu bar)– Save edited image to your computer
