INTRODUCTION Start up was established end of
January 2015. Began its operations at Vasant Kunj
and New Delhi. Grew it’s network to cover the South
Delhi and Gurgaon region. Completely penetrate in Delhi NCR
region by August 2015. Wash and delivered within 48 hours.
HOW THEY STARTED Started with Rs 10 lakh which is used in
rent and marketing. Started with a single vendor at a single
location in VasantKunj. It has grown to whole South Delhi as
well as Gurgaon within a year. Three founders ended up doing pickup
and deliveries themselves. Field work prove to be a lesson and
gave them a better understanding of customer requirement.
CHALLENGES To started with initial business model. Find well-trained delivery staff for their
laundry pick up delivery services. To find resources that are affordable and
skilled in technology. Paucity of time, and the lack of a revenue
model. To keep pace with your own work and
outside world. Understand market . Finding laundry partners and employees.
PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
Issues such as time mismatch, reliability, ironing etc.
They don’t use good method for ironing the clothes which effects the quality of the clothes.
Due to busy schedule and due to one time high investment, bachelors prefers laundry.
No one has the time to bother about where and how laundry gets done! People just want clean clothes when they need it.
CAUSES To provide people a professional
service. Doing business that solves a real life
problem. Making Lives Simpler. Allowing People to have More Free
Time on their hands. Lack of laundry options. Due to unreasonable price.
OUTCOMES Learnt technology, team building,
negotiation, communication skills, convincing abilities, execution, designing, product development.
Reasonable price. They provide Pick My Laundry from
the doorstep itself. Less time consumption. Qualitative service with security. Punctuality towards their work.
SOLUTIONS Developed an incentive model &
working schedule. Pickup & drop via a mobile app. Faster return over investment. Reduction of lean hours. Standardisation of best practises. Better control over quality and no
worries about logistics.

FUTURE PLANS Aimed to expand its operations in Major
Tier1 by the end of 2016. Enter international market once Indian
operations smoothly . They want to increase the platform
handing of the clothes from 4000.
NEWS Pick My Laundry broke even operationally less
than a year. The platform got more than 7,500 app
downloads in 2 months. It is currently processing 2,500 clothes in daily
basis. According to KPMG reports, unorganized
laundry in India is a Rs 2.2 lakh crores opportunity.
Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) is 20-25%. It raised its seeds round of $1,00,000.
SINCE ITS LAUNCHED
500K Garments have been processed till date.180 orders per day during weekends and 100 per day on weekdays.10000 plus android app downloads originally and recently launched iOS App.6000 customers base spread across South Delhi and Gurgaon.Rs500 Revenues are increasing month-on-month. Recently started B2B(Linen Laundry for Hotels).
