Starting a New Life We are making two LARGE changes in our grief group called Starting a New Life. First we will change our day of meeting from Tuesdays to SUNDAYs. We will also change our time from 7-9 pm to 3-5 pm, Sunday afternoons. We will begin this new schedule on Sunday March 5, 2017. Silver and Golden Anniversary Mass The Office of Marriage and Family Life will host the annual Silver and Golden Anniversary Mass Celebration Sunday, March 12 at 4 pm. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Fort Worth for all couples who are celebrating their 25thand 50th wedding anniversary. All couples who have been married longer than 50 years are also welcome. Bishop Michael F. Olson will preside at this special Mass which will include an opportunity for couples to renew their marriage vows and receive an anniversary blessing. A light reception with cake and punch will follow immediately following in the parish’s

Lenten Fish Fry Dinners are Back Season Passes on Sale Now!
The Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry Dinners are returning on Fridays from March 3rd to April 7th (5 - 7 pm). They will feature both fried and baked fish with cole slaw, baked potato or french fries, hush puppies, and dessert. Tickets will be sold at the door for each event ($10.00 adult plate and $8.00 child plate). Profits aid our local charities (Habitat, Brazos Pregnancy Center, Mission Granbury, and others). From February 11th-26th after weekend masses, season passes will be on sale allowing attendance to all 6 dinners at a discounted price ($55.00 adult plate / $45.00 child plate). "Yet God has revealed this wisdom to us through the Spirit. The Spirit scrutinizes all matters, even the deep things of God." — 1 Corinthians 2:10
“There is a certain wisdom which is not of this age or of the rulers of this age who are headed for destruction (1 Cor 2:6). If we do not have this wisdom, we will be so ultimately foolish as to crucify the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8; Heb 6:6). The only way to receive this wisdom is through the Holy Spirit. The Lord requires us to have a holiness which surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees (Mt 5:20). He even commands us to be holy as He is holy (1 Pt 1:16). We must not be angry with our brothers and sisters but reconciled (Mt 5:22-24). We must be sexually pure not only in deed but in thought (Mt 5:28ff). Our marriages and conversations are to be under Jesus' lordship (see Mt 5:32, 37). We must even love our enemies as Jesus loves them (Mt 5:44). Jesus expects us to meet the highest standards ever set for morality. We do this not by our power but only by the Spirit Who makes us holy (see Zec 4:6).
We need the Holy Spirit in order to be wise, holy, pure, and free. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot please God (see Rm 8:8-9). Therefore, repent and pray for the Spirit, Whom we have received in Baptism and Confirmation, to be stirred into flame (2 Tm 1:6-7). Come, Holy Spirit!”
