BUYERS FOR HIRE
CELEBRATING WOMEN
March 8 is International Women's Day. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
PHX RECYCLE MADNESS
PHX Recycle Madness is almost underway. A recycling competition to determine which floor at city hall reigns supreme!
Every Friday, beginning March 17, PHX Green Team members will weigh designated trash and recycling containers on each floor. Winning floors in each round will be based on the ratio of recyclable materials to trash collected. A tournament board and display in the city hall atrium will be updated weekly to see which floor advances to the Final Four.
For added fun, Zero Waste team members will be in the atrium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday beginning March 17, to engage city employees in a recycling game for a chance to win fun prizes! This is a single elimination tournament that will culminate in the crowning of Phoenix City Hall’s first Recycle Madness champion! The winning floor will win a trophy to be proudly displayed, plus bragging rights! Email Eric MacDonald for more information.

March 13
Step two: Qualified candidates will be invited to the hiring event taking
place on March 24 in downtown Phoenix
Step three: Those who receive interviews at the hiring event could be
extended job offers soon after, or be invited back for additional
interviews at a later date
Beneficial skills include experience in professional purchasing and the
ability to multi-task when acquiring materials and services.
Good luck.

WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
Spring is almost here! Did you know if you live in Phoenix, the Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) has the tools you need to get that spring cleaning job done?
The NSD Tool Lending Program allows residents, neighborhood associations and block watch groups to borrow tools for neighborhood cleanups and painting supplies to remove graffiti in your community.
Need a trailer to haul these tools to your cleanup? No worries. NSD has a tool trailer you can reserve to help with large community projects.
NSD also has graffiti removal supplies such as rollers, brushers, wire brushes, scrapers, buckets and paint available at no cost.
Reserve your tools, supplies and/or trailer by calling (602) 495-0323. The program is first-come-first-serve, so don’t wait.

DID YOU KNOW ?
Each week, learn three things you may not have known. These are perfect conversation starters with friends and family or to share on your social media accounts.
When Coca-Cola announced the return of Coke's original formula in 1985, ABC News interrupted General Hospital to break the story.
The sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel is 666.
Only one McDonald's in the world has turquoise arches. Government officials in Sedona, Arizona, thought the yellow would look bad with the natural red rock of the city.
The city of Phoenix is excited to be partnering with the NCAA to make the Final Four events shine in the downtown area. To make that happen, the NCAA is looking for hundreds of
volunteers to donate their time in a variety of ways.
All volunteers must be 18 years old. Together, we can make the Phoenix Final Four a slam dunk! Details on how to sign up are online.
