Photosynthesis

By Matt Scarlett and Haley BrownPhotosynthesisFirst Stage:CO2 enters through the plants leaves, by entering through the stomata. We put off CO2 and so do most of the other animals we share our planet with.

Second Stage:H2O enters through the root system.Roots suck in the nutrients and water from the ground, it is very important in the process of Photosynthesis.

Third Stage:Sunlight cause a chemical change by passing through the plant. You can think of it as a blender, it mixes everything up.

Fourth Stage:Plant makes food, glucose, sugar, etc. Plants need to make food to live.

foodFifth Stage:Plant releases O2.We take in the O2 they release.

Equation: 6CO2+6H2O+Sunlight=C6H12O6+6O2.By Matt Scarlett and Haley BrownThe Process of RespirationWhat is Respiration? It is when plants use the stored food for energy.

Equation:C6H12O6+6O2=6CO2+6H2O+Energy (ATP)

Or:Example of Glucose Levels:

Low levels of Glucose, because it hasn't used much of its sugar for food. Less water has been absorbed out of it.High levels of Glucose, because it has used more food. More water has been absorbed out of it.1st Part:These are examples of stored energy.

2nd Part:Plant, or leaf, gives off O2.

3rd Part:Plant also gives off CO2.

CO24th Part:Water vapor is given off by the plant.

Water Vapor 5th Part:Plant uses the stored energy to grow.
