So I went to the location to get a better perspective on what shots I needed to draw up before I storyboarded the shots up. This location is the shot when the character walks across the bridge and the camera is positioned below the bridge looking towards the stream below and the sound of the foot steps walking across the bridge above.

I took these Photos because I didn't feel fully confident in being able to just build up a storyboard from memory . I also know that films usually do a location search, whilst taking photos so that when it comes to film its much easer to get the potential best shots when in edit.

In the planet of the apes film they did all kinds of ”pre shoots” to try and get the best quality. But not just that, they wanted to have there actors as ape like as possible to the point where they had the full ensemble of cast and even some of the crew walking across a desert, trying to be as ape like as they could until they got it to perfection. Basically what I'm saying is that preparation is everything. In rare cases, winging it can work but only because of loads of unnecessary editing. So to ensure the best quality I have prepped as much as I can, one of those preparations is taking photos to help me film.

The photo Is quite dark because of he the trees that overhang the stream. So I now know Ill have to get the shot a different time of day to capture the natural light.

One thing I will have to consider is that I haven't got the actor all day so if he cant be there I will have to capture the sound of him walking across the bridge and then edit it to match the footage.

This is not necessarily a shot I was thinking of getting but it may fit as part of the structural storyline of the title sequence.

So I could have this similar shot as a POV, looking at the sun.

Just another I idea for shots of trees. I don’t think Id use this shot because it suggests the character is in the dark and needs to go to the light. With is not what I'm wanting to go for.

I was interesting to go out and take these shots.
