My Movement

• The photography movement that I have chosen to

analyze is minimalism. I think this is an interesting

movement because it manages to intrigue attention

with a very minimal focus. I think that minimalist

photographers have a very skilled eye to find

something that is interesting enough to be

photographed, but at the same time be a very minimal

subject.

Annotated Example

This is an example of minimalist photography. Here you can see there is very little to look at or analyze. However the choice of colour, and the way the focus of the photo is framed is very intriguing.

Solid colourin the background so you don’t pay as much attention to it

Here you see the focus of the photo. The red contrasts with the green so it stands out, without having much texture/depth to it.The focus of the photo is on the bottom right hotspot (rule of thirds)

Comparison

You can see my image is very visually similar to the original one (left). The only differences that are visible are the colour of the subject and the angle the photo was taken.
