Photography is my way of communicating with the world. In my work, I talk about own experiences, thoughts, doubts, fears and hopes trying to reflect my own life's path.
In addition to my experiences, my creations are inspired by night dreams as since childhood I remember most of them and I believe that dreams are the most simbolic language of our subconscious, a guide to navigate in the modern world.
I am autodidactic and I don′t recognize myself as a photographer. I use photography as a tool, like a brush for painting or any instrument to play music. My work is an attempt to connect substantiality of the world that surrounds us with elusiveness of feelings and thoughts. For that reason I describe my creations as building a bridge between the visible and the invisible.

Born in Albi (France) in 1974, I make my first steps in the "Photography"
in 2005 when I arrived in Bordeaux.
My meeting with the group of Bordeaux photographers SPBordeaux was a
revelation and photography became for me an extraordinary means of
expression.
Eclectic in nature, I work all photographic style.
My love for the sea and waterscape photography in B & W, guide my work to
a photographic style format where the square and the long exposure became
too obvious.
I love working in this format, fitting length to give landscapes
photographed another reality, another view ... mine. Photography b & w is
my primary mode of expression and allows me to fully express my vision of
the author. Sometimes I also do color, but it remains quite rarely.
Beside this, I also work on other personal projects such as portrait or
report.

My photographic approach is something instinctive, as an impulse that
prompts me to press the trigger at a specific time to pick a place,
atmosphere, people ...
I love photographing in the moment, discover a place and I try to
appropriate it.

I’m always been curious about photography and when the Art school
introduced me to the darkroom I was literally fascinated.
Since I was a child there was a camera around me. My father was a big
Nikon fan and he had a huge lens collection. He spent hours taking
pictures of my brother and me in our childhood. So I grew up with
photography and a curiosity for the pictures. All forms of art inspire
me, but one of my greatest influences from early in my career is
Surrealism.
Another source of inspiration for me is the majesty of some
architectures: I’m fascinated by what the man has managed to build
around him over the centuries. I take pictures of faces and I modify
them by adding images, like in a montage. I love playing with lights and
shadows, tones and
textures. My imaginary worlds are a mix of architectures, objects and
animals.
I use the most advanced technologies to express myself, but papers and
pencils accompany the birth of my projects: sketches and notes turn into
thoughts and images. Is the power to escapes the constraints of social
and economic differences and the limits of space and time.
I sleep with my Moleskine and a pencil because most of my ideas come to
me at night. I wake up and I write down what I have imagined or
dreamed, to be sure to remember everything next morning.

Each artwork of the “Imaginaria” series tells a story through images molded, written and then mixed with imagination. To honor the great artist Michelangelo, who carved the David with the head slightly larger than the rest of the body, to symbolize the power of reason, all the characters of “Imaginaria” are made with the same disproportion.
Here, the mind embodies the force that drives the wonderful gear of the imagination that is released from the head. Anachronistic and ridiculous ideas erupt from the mind, free from the dictates of the reason, like a panacea, capable of transforming the dullness of routine in the color of imagination. To the viewer, the freedom to read every time a different story, by borrowing the artist’s imagination, the one of the depicted subject, or simply by triggering his own imagination.

She can be Mother or stepmother, uncontaminated or sick but mankind is always obliged to establish a relationship with Mother Nature. Too often, however, he forgets to be a guest or his roommate at most, and he become a parasite and a tyrant kamikaze.
The project "SYMBIOSIS" wants to give voice to an overwhelming need for mankind to reconcile himself with the Universe.
Protagonists of this series are moderns fauns: common people, stripped of their clothes, which through a docile and meek surrender to their origins, are back to being one with Mother Nature, which at the end we can command only by following her rules.

I was born 36 years ago. Another century, another reality.
However photography has been very close to me from early beggining.
I've been trying to develop my photo-sklills since I was teenager, but
I've quickly realized, that pure photography is not enough for me.
My imagination has been giving me another point of view, another
visions. I always wanted to see more, and to show more. With help came
thank God Photoshop. Using this great program, for me is like journey
through neverending possiblities, one and only limit is our imagination.
In my works I'm trying to touch every topic, every idea which comes to
my mind is different, so maybe that is why spectrum of my
photomanipulations is very wide.
Not only one or similar moods, topics, elements.
I would like to try eveything, it's one and only way to develop skills,
but also to train imagination. It's very powerfull thing - we have to
use it right
I'm still searching for my final style and way of showing emotions.
Hope someday I will find it.

Brooke Shaden was born in March of 1987 in Lancaster, PA, USA.
She grew up near the "Amish Country" until attending Temple
University. Brooke was photographically born in December 2008
after graduating from Temple with bachelor degrees in film and
English. She now resides in Arizona, USA with her husband and
three cats.
She began creating self-portraits for ease and to have full
control over the images, and has since grown into a
self-portrait artist. Self portraiture for her is not
autobiographical in nature. Instead, she attempts to place
herself within worlds she wishes we could live in, where secrets
float out in the open, where the impossible becomes possible.
Brooke works to create new worlds within her photographic frame.
By using painterly techniques as well as the square format,
traditional photographic properties are replaced by otherworldly
elements. Brooke's photography questions the definition of what
it means to be alive.

Promise of Spring © Ellen Jantzen
Ellen Jantzen was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri.
Her early college years were spent obtaining a degree in graphic arts;
later emphasizing fine art. Upon graduation she and her husband, Michael,
settled down on acreage in Southern Illinois and set about to construct
several solar and energy efficient structures including their 2400 square
foot home. Organic gardens and goat husbandry took center stage in Ellen’s
life but a desire for a more “artistic” life led the couple to Los
Angeles California.
Ellen spent two years at FIDM (the Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising) in downtown Los Angeles. Here, she obtained her advanced
degree in 1992. After a few years working in the industry, including
several years at Mattel Toy Company as a senior project designer, she
became disillusioned with the corporate world and longed for a more
creative outlet. Having been trained in computer design while at
Mattel, Ellen continued her training on her own using mostly Photoshop
software. As digital technology advanced and the newer cameras were
producing excellent resolution, Ellen found her perfect medium.
It was a true confluence of technical advancements and creative desire
that culminated in her current explorations in photo inspired art using
both a camera to capture staged assemblages and a computer to alter and
manipulate the pieces. Ellen has been creating works that bridge the world
of prints, photography and collage.

Born in Gijón in 1975, García de Marina surfaced from undergoing
a deep transformation in 2010. A slumbering passion for photography broke
through his privacy, and started a sparkling career characterized by
photographic reflection, in sharp contrast to the author’s restless
nature. In less than a year García de Marina gave in to a devotion for
photography, unveiled his rare photographic gaze on social networking
sites, and presented his work in various exhibitions. After a largely
unassuming and unquestioning life, photography involves a change of
personal outlook in a context of economic and social crisis.
This Poet of the Prosaic made the leap from social networking to the
galleries in a few months’ time. His uncommon creativity has not gone
unnoticed in the Spanish as well as the foreign media, having his work
published in several European and South American countries.
He has made a number of individual exhibitions and taken part in
different collective exhibits, in addition to diverse art fairs.
His lens is profoundly irreverent with the real: it seeks to transform
and stamp objects with new identities; it challenges the obvious, and
pays heed to the grandeur of the everyday. The bareness of his
photography endows objects with a leading role, while they are stripped
of their essence to be reinvented. It seeks to lend intensity and emotion
to a piece of cutlery or a match, or to tell a story, its own story, with
an eggshell. The artist does not carry out any photographic manipulation
on the images, but transfigures his subjects by setting up scenarios, and
searches for the best angle to take a picture of them. From the
minimalist perspective, the inventiveness of his gaze lays claim to
another reality. From observation we may create, from imagination we may
innovate."© García de Marina
