DESCRIPTION

What to Do Simply put, this is writing that is created out of a photo that you have viewed/interpreted. Photos help to represent a story. What can you create from the photo? What thoughts, people, places come to mind? What is the story? You can write a poem, a song, a rap, a short story, an explanation/interpretation of what you think is taking place or took place right before, who the person(s) are and what’s going on in his/her life. Photo Writing is…• A break from the normal, structured essay • A way for us to be creative even if we don’t

consider ourselves “creative writers.”• An activity that allows us to interpret photos.• An escape from our world for a little while.• An activity that allows us to share/collaborate

with others. While I ask for volunteers, I hope more and more will share as the year goes on.

• I will ask you to turn these in from time to time and they are up for grabs on any notebook check.
