BODY OF WORK Master photographic series presentation -presentations starting 9/24
Choose a photo book in the classroom that is a single series or body of work by a photographer, study it, research it, and present it to the class for 2 - 5 minutes.
Guiding questions that you should consider when choosing a photographer and series of work by her or him:
•What is the body of work about?•How does it inspire you?•How does it connect to something you have learned in class?•How can it connect to your classmates?•What can it teach us about creating a thematic series?
Guiding questions that you should answer to the class:•Who is the photographer?•What is the body of work called?•What is the series about?•How is it presented?•Where or how was it taken?•What connections to photo history does it have?•How does it fit into the photographer’s other work and career?•What is an image from the series that stands out to you?•What can it us about creating a thematic series?

You will compile a selection of your summer work into a physical book format - the selection of images and format are up to you.
Steps to follow:1.Process summer images2.Make contact sheets3.Edit contact sheets4.scan/import5.edit6.upload to Flickr7.add to “Summer 2015” album8.edit and organize9.decide on the format for your book10.design/print/order/create book
Some possible formats:•Print on demand (Magcloud, Blurb book) •Darkroom prints in album or book•Photocopied zine (Fedex Office)•Ordered prints (Walgreens,Target, Walmart) in album or book•Digitally printed pages bound into a book
