Why we help our children to read?Lets learn from the Quran

Beginning of Surah; Iqra' - Read - gain knowledge.

End of Surah- Wasjud waqtarib - prostrate and gaincloseness [to Allah]

worship is based onknowledge. Worship is done when yougain knowledge and understanding. And knowledge shouldbecome action which gets you close to Allah. Therefore wehelp children to read so that they can gain knowledge and

understanding about themselves and this world and in sodoing they will know the reasons behind their existence thatthey do not exist for their benefit but also to be beneficial toothers. As this is the command in the Quran. Thus with the

knowledge gained they will utilise it for the benefit of mankindand nature or the environment surroudin them.

The conclusion is no one approach to teaching

reading and writing is best for every child.
