Join your Brothers for a night of old-fashioned fun as we bowl in support of our national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
As an optional addition to your Grand Council Registration for Thursday evening, participants will be provided with transportation to and from Maplewood Lanes in Omaha. While there, participants will each bowl 3 games, be provided pizza and soda, and we invite you to enjoy Maplewood lanes full service cocktail lounge. While
bowling, there will be raffle drawings for prizes. After 3 games, our best 4 bowlers will have donations to St. Jude given in their names.

SEEKING CANDIDATES FOR PROJECT DIRECTOR FOR TREASURER
The Treasurer is responsible for safeguarding the controls and processes of Phi Delta Chi’s financial operating system. The Treasurer is expected to
participate in the monthly Executive Council Meetings and is responsible for reviewing the Fraternity’s current financial status with the Executive Council. The Treasurer also serves as an ex-officio voting member of the Finance Committee.
Qualifications:
Qualifications to serve as Project Director for Treasurer include membership as an Alumnus Brother in good standing within the Fraternity. It is highly recommended that the individual be effective with time management and that accepting this position would not interfere with personal or professional obligations. Candidates should be knowledgeable in finance and investments.
Candidates for the position must submit a written application to the Executive
Director. The applications will be shared with the EC for input.
Appointment/Term:
The Project Director for Treasurer will be appointed by the Grand President according to the Fraternity’s Constitution. The appointment shall last two years beginning and ending with Grand Council. The Treasurer may be re-appointed for multiple terms without a new application.

Phi Delta Chi is putting out a call for collegiate Brothers to run for the position of Regional Correspondent (RC).
Regional Correspondent is an elected position whose role is to act as a liaison between Chapters, the National Office, and Grand Officers. Officers act as the link for information between the National Office and the Chapters while also serving as a motivator and repository for general Fraternity information. The RC also works to increase participation in regional and national Phi Delta Chi conventions and to encourage chapters to attain 100% in the Achievement Award program. Because the RC is at the focal point of activity and information, it is key that they be able to communicate progress, problems, and needs to other Regional Officers.
General requirements for the 2013-2014 RC include but are not limited to:
• Attend the Phi Delta Chi planning retreat in the Fall of 2013
• Call each Chapter within your respective region monthly to discuss the Thurston and Achievement Award program as well as answer any general questions about Fraternity operations
• Attend monthly calls with the Grand Vice President of Student Affairs and relay pertinent regional news/information
• Attend your respective 2014 Regional Conference
• Attend one Comprehensive and Focus ChEQ visit
Every interested Brother should apply for a regional office position. It is an excellent leadership opportunity that provides support for you to travel and learn from Brothers throughout the country. The term for the 2013-2014 RC’s will begin upon election at Grand Council and end when a new Regional Correspondent is elected at your region’s respective 2014 Regional Conference.

Have you been looking for a way to give back to the Fraternity and are enthusiastic about developing your leadership and professional skills? Serving as Regional Director of Collegiate Affairs (RDCA) or Regional Director of Alumni Affairs (RDAA) would be an awesome opportunity for you to accomplish your personal goals while giving a little AAAE to Phi Delta Chi.
Directors of Collegiate Affairs serve as a conduit between collegiate chapters, chapter advisors, and the Fraternity. RDCAs work closely with their chapters to ensure and assist them in operating by Phi Delta Chi’s nine Constitutional Standards. Alumni Affairs Directors serve to introduce the collegiate Brothers to alumni topics, thereby preparing them for the transition to alumni status. The RDAA also supports Alumni Brother needs and advocates the development, implementation, and review of programming geared towards their interests. The RDCA and RDAA collaborate with the Regional Correspondent (RC) to manage the activities of the region they represent. Some activities include serving as either secretary or parliamentarian at their regional conference, participating on Chapter Excellence and Quality (ChEQ) Program visit teams, and partaking in the Fraternity’s strategic planning retreat at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Attendance at these various meetings and visits will require the regional director be able to travel
throughout their region and country on a few occasions throughout the year.
The Grand Vice Presidents for Collegiate and Alumni Affairs (GVPCA & GVPAA) advise and support the regional directors by enabling them to effectively execute any strategic plan the regional team has to assist collegiate and alumni Brothers in meeting their needs. Regional directors should communicate with either the GVPCA or GVPAA on at least a monthly basis. The team is encouraged to communicate regularly amongst each other to have a shared understanding of what is going on in their region.
In addition to submitting an application, qualifications to serve as RDCA or RDAA include membership as a Graduate or Alumnus Brother in good standing with the Fraternity for a one-year commitment to the duties of the office. Regional directors are expected to attend Regional Conferences, Grand Councils, ChEQ visits, and Strategic Planning Retreats. Attendance at Leader-Development Seminars is also highly encouraged. The RDCA & RDAA are also asked to be a part of any chapter founding or reactivation ceremony in their region. Of course, travel expenses incurred during required events are reimbursed. Directors will also be expected to manage their own office e-mail account. Communication is key…
Having had the opportunity to serve the fraternity as a Regional Director in the past, I can say that the experience has
certainly help mold me into a stronger leader and developed my professional skills in ways I didn’t think were possible. I feel that every interested Brother should apply for these highly sought after positions.
The Executive Director is now accepting applications for the appointed positions of RDCA and RDAA in each of the eight Regions of Phi Delta Chi. Appointments for these 16 offices will be made by the newly elected Executive Council members shortly after the closing of the 69th Grand Council Meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.
