A limited number of positions are open for students who wish to enter on a part-time basis. Graduates will be prepared to: practice as both internal or external organizational researchers and consultants: conduct original, empirical research: develop, evaluate and test personnel and Organizational Psychology theories; and apply scientific knowledge and methods in business and organizational settings (including the design of human resources management systems and multilevel Organizational Development interventions). Degree Requirements 92 unitsThe doctorate is awarded to students who have completed the Industrial-Organizational Psychology doctoral program, upon satisfactory evaluation by the faculty of the following requirements:

• Demonstrate mastery of the stated competencies through Comprehensive Examination

• Completion and successful defense of a PhD dissertation

• The equivalent of not less than four academic years of full-time attendance at Alliant International University following admission at the graduate entry level

Doctoral degree course requirements total 92 units. In a typical four-year program, the first two years provide substantive coursework in general and organizational psychology, statistics, research design, and measurement. Students are also involved in research and independent study projects. At the beginning of their third year, students demonstrate mastery of the stated competencies through a comprehensive examination.

In their third and fourth years, students complete academic requirements for the PhD, develop and complete their dissertations and participate in supervised professional training placements in the business community or the public sector.
