PURPOSEOFTHEHANDBOOKItisessentialthatstudentsinthePh.D.C.E.S.ProgramthoroughlyreadandunderstandtheHandbookasitprovidesadetailedsummaryoftherequirements,structure,andparticularsofthePh.D.PrograminCounselorEducationandSupervision.WhenstudentsenterthisPh.D.Program,theyagreetoadheretoallofthepoliciesandproceduresoutlinedintheHandbook.Additionally,becausetheHandbookisrevisedasProgramand/orUniversitypoliciesandproceduresevolve,studentsmustreviewtheHandbookafewtimesayeartoremainawareoftheHandbookrevision.Prospectivestudentswillfindinformationthatwillassistthemindeterminingifourdoctoralprogramisrightforthem.Tosummarize,thisPh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionProgramHandbookisintendedtoofferinformationthatsupplementstheinformationnotedinLibertyUniversity’sCatalog.TheHandbookisintendedtoclarifyrelevantinformation,policies,procedures,requirements,andexpectationsofthePh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionProgramatLiberty.Thefollowingpageswillprovidecriticalinformationtothepursuitofthisdegree.DoctoralstudentsareresponsibletoknowandadheretothecontentofthecurrentHandbookatalltimes.PH.D.INCOUNSELOREDUCATIONANDSUPERVISIONPROGRAMPROGRAMOVERVIEWThePh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionProgramishousedinTheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudies,SchoolofBehavioralSciencesatLibertyUniversity.TheprimaryaimofthePh.D.ProgramistomentoradiversebodyofDoctoralstudents,ourfuturecolleagues,whosenseacallingtoextendthefoundationofknowledgeonethicalandeffectivecounseling,counseloreducation,andsupervisionthroughthedisseminationofresearchandscholarshipandbyimpactingthefieldinleadershippositionsinclinicalsettings,highereducation,andcounselingassociations.ThePh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionisa66-hourprogram,foundedon33hoursofM.A.levelcounselingcompetenciesthatcomprisetheCACREPentrylevelstandardsencompassedbyourCACREPaccreditedresidentialM.A.inClinicalMentalHealthCounselingdegree.Assuch,studentswhogainentrancetothisPh.D.ProgramdemonstratethattheyhavepreviouslymetalloftheentrylevelcompetenciesoutlinedintheCACREPAccreditationManual(CACREP,2009;2016)priortobeginningdoctorallevelcounseloreducationcoursework.ThisPh.D.degreeProgramprovideseducationforstudentsseekingcareeropportunitiesasleadersinthefieldofcounseling.Graduateswilldevelopknowledgeandskillsthatenablethemtoethicallyandcompetentlypromoteadvocacy,socialjustice,andsocialchangeattheindividualandsystemiclevel,disseminateresearchandscholarshipthatextendstheknowledgebaseofthecounselingfield,andimpactthefieldthroughassociationmembershipandparticipation.

MISSIONSTATEMENTThemissionoftheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiesistodevelopproduceethicallyandspirituallyawarementalhealthcounselorsandcounseloreducatorswhopossessthevalues,knowledge,skills,andpersonaldispositiontopromotethementalhealthandholisticwellnessofclientsacrossdiversepopulations.ThemissionoftheDoctoralPrograminCounselorEducationandSupervisionistotrainhighlycompetentcounseloreducators,supervisors,clinicalpractitioners,researchers,scholars,andleader-advocates.FacultyintheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiesarecommittedtocollaborativeinquirywhereindoctoralstudentsaresupportedindevelopingcompetenciesinleadershiprolesinthecounselingfield.Tofacilitatetheseoutcomesfacultyandstudentsengageinlearningexperiencesthatsupportthemindeveloping:

StudentsinthePh.D.programmustexhibittheAmericanCounselingAssociation’sstandardsandethicsofthecounselingprofessionregardingsensitivitytoandcelebrationofdiversity.PROGRAMINTENTTheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiesDoctorofPhilosophyinCounselorEducationandSupervisionprogramprovidesstudentswithanintegrationofacademiccourseworkandappliedlearningexperiences.Studentsareexpectedtomastercourseworkconsideredessentialtothedoctorallevelprofessionalpreparationofcounselorleaderswhoseektoofferservicesconsistentwithabiblicalworldview.Thoughstudentsareencouragedtoevaluatetheirownspecificneedsandtotakeadvantageofavailableresourcesforpersonalandprofessionaldevelopment,thefollowinglearningoutcomesareapplicabletoallstudents:

4. Thestudentwillbeabletocriticallyanalyze,evaluate,andsynthesizeabroadrangeofcounselingtheories,withanadvancedunderstandingofpsychopathology,toinformcaseconceptualizationanddeliverandevaluateevidence-basedinterventionsacrossdiversepopulationsandsettings.

ADMISSIONPOLICIES1.1ADMISSIONREQUIREMENTSStudentsadmittedtothePh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionmustmeetseveraladmissionrequirements.ElementsoftheapplicationpackagefacilitatetheAdmissionsCommittee’sabilitytoassessthatpotentialstudentsarewellbeyondmeetingtheentrylevelcounselingcompetencies.Additionally,studentsdemonstratethroughtheelementsthattheyare(a)preparedfortheacademicrigorofdoctoralleveltraining;(b)haveasolidfoundationofpreviousprofessionalexperience;(c)arematureinthattheyareappropriatelyself-awareandemotionallyregulated;(d)areabletocommunicateeffectivelyorallyandinwriting;and(e)arehighlyinterestedandhaveaptitudeforresearch,scholarship,leadership,andadvocacyinthefieldofcounseling.AllrequirementsandproceduresstatedintheAdmissionsandAcademicInformationsectionsoftheLibertyUniversityCatalogandontheLibertyAdmissionswebsitemustbeincludedineachadmissionpackage.DoctoralapplicantssubmiteachoftherequirementslistedtotheOfficeofGraduateAdmissions,Attention:Ph.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervision.

a. TheMillerAnalogiesTest®(MAT®).TheMAT®assessesthestudent’sabilitytosolveproblemsstatedasanalogies.WhereastheGRE®assessesknowledge,theMAT®isdesignedtoreflectthestudent’sanalyticalthinking.TheMAT®isanexcellentoptionforstudentswhohavebeenoutschoolforawhile.

b. GraduateRecordExamination®(GRE®).Applicantsshouldsubmitverbal,quantitative,andanalyticscoresforadmission.ApplicantswhohavetakentheGRE®cancontacttheCollegeTestingServiceandrequestanofficialscorereporttobesent.

c. TheTestofEnglishasaForeignLanguage™(TOEFL®).InternationalandEnglishasaSecondLanguagestudentsarerequiredtoprovideevidenceofEnglishlanguageproficiencybysubmittingTheTOEFL®.TheGraduateSchoolrequiresascoreof80ontheTOEFL®foradmissiontoGraduateProgramsatLibertyUniversity.

5. TwoLettersofProfessionalRecommendation:Thesemustbeprofessionalreferences(i.e.,professor,clinicalsupervisor,administrator)frompersonswhoarefamiliarwiththeapplicant’strainingandsubsequentpractice.Allshouldbeobtainedfromindividualsqualifiedtoaddresstheapplicant’smaturity,motivation,andethics.

6. A300-WordLetterofIntentspecifyingtheapplicant’spurposeandgoalsforenteringthePh.D.Program.ThislettershoulddetailhowtheapplicantfitsintoourPh.D.Program’smission,whilestillbringinghisorherownsenseofuniqueness.

7. CurriculumVitaincludingearneddegrees,ministryand/orcounselingexperience,careergoals,andindicatingcounselinglicensure,or,aminimumofatleastoneyearofclinicalexperienceinthecounselingfieldwithacommitmenttoobtaincounselinglicensurepriortograduationfromthePh.D.Program,ifpossible.

10. PersonalInterviewwithCorePh.D.Faculty:Selectedapplicantsmaybeinvitedtoparticipateinaninterviewwithcorefaculty.

4. OrientationStage:StudentscompletetheOrientationandOrientationQuiz,postrequireddocuments,andthenregisterfortheirfirstpre-QualifyingPh.D.courseor,ifanyarerequired,pre-requisiteM.A.entrylevelcompetencycourse.Studentsregisterfortheirfirstcoursebycontactingtheirassignedacademicadvisor.

5. Pre-requisiteCompletionStage:IfstudentshaverequiredM.A.entrylevelclinicalpre-requisitecoursestotake,asoutlinedontheirAdmissionContract,thesemustbecompletedbeforeregistrationispermittedforPh.D.courses.

6. Pre-QualifyingExaminationIntegrativeCoreStage:StudentscompletePre-QualifyingExamCoreCourses(COUC714,COUC715,COUC730,COUC740).

7. QualifyingStage:AftertherequiredIntegrativeCorecourses,studentsregistertotaketheQualifyingExaminationbycontactingBonnieatbcsmith@liberty.edu.StudentsmustpassallthreesectionsoftheQualifyingExaminationbeforetakingfurthercoursework(seeQualifyingExaminationforfurtherdetails).

8. DoctoralStudent:FollowingthesuccessfulcompletionoftheQualifyingExamination,studentsareawardedthedesignationof“DoctoralStudent”andtaketheremainderoftheIntegrativeCoreCoursesandAdvancedClinicalMentalHealthcourserequirements.

CandidacyExaminationStage:TheCandidacyExaminationisaprogram-learningoutcomesbasedportfoliothatisdevelopedthroughoutthedurationoftheprogramandisevaluatedbytheFacultyAdvisingCommitteeafterallIntegrativeCoreCourses,AdvancedClinicalMentalHealthcourserequirements,thePracticumandInternship,andNon-CourseRelatedRequirementsarecompleted.

11. DoctoralCandidateStage:FollowingthesuccessfulcompletionoftheCandidacyExamination,studentsareawardedthedesignationof“DoctoralCandidate”andtaketheirDissertationResearchcourserequirements.

12. DissertationStage:AfterastudentpassestheCandidacyExamination,s/heregistersforCOUC989(foratleasttwoconsecutiveterms:6credits)undertheirDissertationChair/AdvisoruntiltheDissertationDefenseisscheduled.AStudentmustregistereachsubsequenttermforCOUC989untiltheDissertationisDefenseready.AtthattimetheCommitteeChairwillapprovethestudenttoregisterforCOUC990:DissertationDefense(3credithours).TheDefenseistheculminationoftheprogramandthelaststagebeforegraduation.

2.19STATUTEOFLIMITATIONSThecounselingprofessioniseverevolving.Toinsurethatgraduatesareuptodateinevidencebasedpracticesincounselingleadershiproles,thetimeallowedtocompletethePh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionislimited.ThetimelimitforcompletingthePh.D.degreeisseven(7)years,whichbeginstheyearofadmissiontothePh.D.Program.2.20LEAVEOFABSENCEAstudentingoodacademicstandingmayrequesttwoleavesofabsencefromgraduatestudyforastatedperiodoftime(uptoone-year)duringwhichthestudentwillnotmakeacademicprogress.Reasonsforaleaveofabsenceinclude,butarenotlimitedto,amedical/mentalhealthproblemorafamilycrisis.Torequestaleave,thestudentmustsubmitalettertothePh.D.ProgramDirectorstatingthereasonfortheleaveandproposedtimeframe.Leavesduetoamedicalormentalhealthissuemustbedocumentedbyaletterfromthetreatingprofessional(s).StudentsmustobtainapprovalinwritingfromthePh.D.ProgramDirectordocumentingauthorizationoftheleavebeforetheleaveisactivated.

Awillingnessandabilitytoacquireandintegrateprofessionalstandardsintoone’srepertoireofprofessionalbehavior.Studentsmustconductthemselveswithanawarenessthattheirconduct,personalappearance,attitudes,values,andbehaviorinfluenceclient,peer,andgeneralpublicopinions.TheyareexpectedtodemonstrateprofessionalismsotheseconstituenciesviewtheminamannerconsistentwiththespiritofLibertyUniversityandtheprofessionofcounseling.

2. Anabilitytoacquireleadershipandprofessionalskillstoreachanacceptablelevelofcompetency.TheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiesprovidesalearningenvironmentinwhichstudentsbecomevulnerableastheytestoutnewbehaviorsandacquirenewskillsascounselorleaders.Studentswhoconveytheattitudethattheyarenotteachablearenotsuitedfordoctoraleducation.

3. Awillingnessandabilitytogiveappropriatefeedbackandtoreceiveandintegratefeedbackfromfaculty,supervisors,andpeers.Studentsareexpectedtobeopentoreceivingfeedbackfromothers,includingverbalorwrittencommentsinprivateorpublicsettings.Ateachableandopenattitudeisexpectedofallstudents.Thus,regardlessofthequalityofthefeedback,studentsareexpectedtoprayerfullyconsiderthepossibilitythatvaluablefeedbackisfoundinthecomments.Studentswhoareawareofanotherstudent’sbehaviororperformancethatviolatestheLibertyUniversityHonorCode,theAmericanCounselingAssociation’sEthicsCode,andtheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiesbehavioralstandardshavearesponsibilitytointervene.Thisincludesnotifyingprogramfacultyand/ortheprogramdirector.

4. Anabilitytocontrolpersonalstress,psychologicaldysfunction,and/orexcessiveemotionalreactionsthatinterferewithpersonal,professionalorinterpersonalfunctioning.Counselingisaninterpersonalprofessioninwhichcounselorleadersareprovidedwithalevelofinfluenceupontheirdomainsofpractice.Therefore,itisessentialthattheyarenotimpairedbyintrapersonalorinterpersonalliabilities.Studentsareexpectedtomonitortheirownbehaviorandaddressanypersonalissuesthatmightimpairtheirperformanceinacademicorcounselingsettingsorjeopardizethewell-beingoffaculty,staff,clients,orpeers.Studentsareencouragedtodiscusspersonalconcernsaboutthemselvesaswellastheirabilitytofunctioninacademicandcounselingsettingswithacademicandfacultyadvisors,clinicalsupervisorsand/orwithanymemberofthefaculty.AlthoughitisagoaloftheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiestohelpstudentsreachtheirprofessionalgoalsitremainstheprimaryresponsibilityofthefacultytoprotectthepublic,thestudentbody,andtheprofession.

5. AlifestylethatisconsistentwithaChristiantestimony.ItisexpectedthatstudentswillconductthemselvesinamannerthatreflectsChristianlove(e.g.,John13:34-35;Philippians2:2-4;Colossians3:14-15;James2:8;1Peter4:8-10;1John4:7-8).FeedbacktoothersshouldbegiveninthemostprofessionalandChrist-likemannerpossible.InkeepingwiththeapostlePaul’steachings,studentsareexpectedgetalongwithothersasmuchaspossible(cf.Romans12:18),tonotholdgrudges(cf.1Corinthians13:4-7;Ephesians4:31-32;Leviticus19:17-18),andtoencourageoneanother(1Thessalonians5:11).Amarkofspiritualityandpsychologicalmaturityislovingtheunlovableanddemonstratingthefruitofthespirit(Galatians5:22-23).ThoughweallstruggletolivetheChristianlifeasweshould,especiallywhenunderstress,wearetochallengeourselvestopursueholiness.

4.6PROFESSIONALDEVELOPMENTEthicalConduct:AllstudentsinthePh.D.CounselorEducationandSupervisionprogramareresponsibletobehaveinanethicalmannerthroughouttheirtraining,aswellasinclinicalandprofessionalsettings.ViolationsoftheACACodeofEthics,theGraduateStudentHonorCode,ortheLibertyWay;and/orfailuretotakestepstorectifyviolations,areconsideredextremelyseriousandmayresultinterminationfromtheprogram.AlthoughstudentsareexpectedtoadheretotheACACodeofEthics,theGraduateStudentHonorCode,andtheLibertyWayasaguidetotheirbehaviorthroughouttheirprogram,readingitisjustthebeginningofunderstandingprofessionalethics.Beinganethicalcounselor-in-traininginvolvesunderstandingtheunderlyingprinciplesandvaluesassociatedwithprofessionalCodeofEthics.Thesearebuiltuponastrongcommitmenttobiblicalprinciples,developingasetofbeliefsthatguideone’severydaypractice,beingabletodiscernpotentialaswellasrealizedethicalproblematicsituations,andhavingthecharactertostandbythesewhenfacedwithchallengingsituations.Thisisanessentialcomponentofyourprofessionaldevelopment.ProfessionalDevelopment:TosuccessfullycompletethePh.D.inCounselorEducationandSupervisionprogramatLibertyUniversityandbeeligibleforgraduation,astudentmustbeabledemonstrateproficiencyinfiveareas:

1. AttainmentofscholasticcompetencyinallcourseworkasevaluatedthroughtheassessmentofCESstandards,theQualifyingExamination(seesection2.12ofhandbook)givenaftercompletingpre-qualifyingcoreclasses,theCandidacyExamination(seesection2.15ofhandbook)givenpriortodissertationresearchandwriting,theDissertationdefense(seesection2.16ofhandbook)completedattheendofthePh.D.Program,andbymaintaininganoverallGPAof3.0.

2. Acquisitionof,andabilitytoapplyadvancedcounseling,teaching,andsupervisionskillswithadiversepopulationandtoastandardacceptablebylicensedprofessionalcounseloreducatorsandsupervisors.TheseskillsareevaluatedthroughoutthePh.D.ProgramandultimatelybysuccessfulcompletionoftheCandidacy/PortfolioExamination.

3. Demonstrationofemotionalandmentalstabilityandmaturityininteractionwithothers,includingtheabilitytomaintainhealthyboundaries,communicateappropriately,successfullymanagepersonalanxietyoruncomfortablefeelings,workcollaborativelywithothers,andresolveinterpersonalconflict.Thisproficiencyisevaluatedthroughouttheprograminallinteractionswithfaculty,staff,administrators,supervisors,adjuncts,andfellowstudents;includingbothverbalandwrittencommunications.

4. AdherencetotheProfessionalIdentityandStandardsasoutlinedbytheAmericanCounselingAssociation’sCodeofEthicsandtheLibertyGraduateStudentCodeofHonor.Thisproficiencyisevaluatedduringtheprograminallinteractionswithfaculty,staff,administrators,supervisors,adjuncts,andfellowstudents;includingbothverbalandwrittencommunications.

5. Demonstrationoftheabilitytointegratefaithandspiritualityintocounselingwhereappropriateinanethicallycompetentmanner.

Thecounselingfacultywilldevelopandevaluatestudentsontheaboveareasofproficiencyonanongoingandconsistentmannerinallsettingsinwhichfacultyandstudentsinteract.Thisinteractioncanincludeformalandinformalsettingssuchasclassroom,onlinecommunication,advising,andpersonalconversations.

4.7REMEDIATIONIf,duringthecourseofastudent’sstudies,afaculty,staff,administratororsupervisorbelievesastudentlacksrequiredskills,professionalbehaviorsanddispositionstoprogressintheprogram,thatpersonwillbeginremediationproceduresaimedtoprovidethestudentwithinformationandactionstocorrecttheimpairment/deficiency.Thepurposeoftheremediationplanistoassistthestudentincorrectinganydeficitsincounselingknowledgeandskills,aswellasproblematicpersonal,interpersonal,orethicalbehaviorssothestudentmaysuccessfullycontinueintheprogram.Assuch,remedialinstructionorinterventionsarecloselylinkedtothestudents’developmentalgrowth,recognizingtherelationshipbetweenthealleviationofdeficienciesandthedevelopmentofnewcompetencies.Weconceptualizeremediationintermsofaresponsecontinuumbaseduponthetypeandseverityofstudents’limitations,withtheneedtodistinguishbetweendeficient,lackscompetence,andimpaired:

• Deficient:Requiresskill-basedand/oracademicapproach• Lackscompetence:Requiresadditionalethicalpractice-basedand/orconceptualapproach• Impaired:Requiresadditionalintervention-basedand/ortherapeuticapproach

TheproblematicbehaviorcontinuumcanalsobeconsideredalonglinesofAcademic,Clinical,andPersonal,withAcademicbeingmorerelatedtodeficienciesandPersonalmorerelatedtoimpairments.ClinicallimitationsmaylikelyhavebothAcademicandPersonalinvolvement.Additionally,theprogramresponsecanbeconsideredalongacontinuumofeducation,formalremediation,and termination.Deficientdescribesthosebehaviors,attitudes,orcharacteristicsthatneedtobethefocusofattentionandchangebutarenotconsideredexcessiveorinappropriate.Rather,theymaybeimportantcomponentsofthestudent’slearningexperience.Atthislevel,remediationlikelyinvolvesinstructionandfeedbacktoaddressthedeficit.LacksCompetencedescribesadeficitindevelopmentallyappropriateclinicalcompetenciesthatareneededforethicalpractice.Thesewouldincludeareasuchasperformanceofcounselingskillsand/orprofessionalbehaviors,attitudes,orcharacteristics,responsetosupervision,and/orabilityapplicationofethicsintopractice.Thesebehaviorsareconsideredtobeexcessiveorinappropriate,requiringremedialactionbeyondthecourseinstructororsupervisor.Impairmentdescribesthosebehaviorsthatresultinasignificantnegativeimpactonprofessionalfunctioning.Impairmentisdemonstratedbyoneormoreofthefollowingbehaviors:(a)aninabilityand/orunwillingnesstoacquireandintegrateprofessionalstandardsintotheirrepertoireofprofessionalbehavior;(b)aninabilitytoacquireprofessionalskillstoreachanacceptablelevelofcompetency;(c)aninabilitytocontrolpersonalstress,psychologicaldysfunctionand/orexcessiveemotionalreactionsthatinterferewithprofessionalfunctioning.

4.8REMEDIATIONFORPRACTICUMAND INTERNSHIP:If,duringthePh.D.PracticumorInternship,astudentfailstosuccessfullydemonstratetherequiredskillsinthesecoursesandconsequentlyreceivesfailingevaluationsorifastudentisdismissedfromasite,thesupervisorwillnotifythestudent’sprofessor.TheprofessorwillwriteanincidentreportandsendittothePracticum/InternshipofficeoftheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudies.TheClinicalDirectorandtheLeadershipTeamwillexaminethenatureandreasonfortheskillsdeficitand/ordismissal.Atthatpoint,thestudentmayreceiveagradeofFforthecourseandbeplacedonholdinthePh.D.Programinordertofulfillremediationproceduresaimedtoaddressandresolvetheverifiable deficits.ForbehaviorsthatconstituteaviolationoftheUniversity’sHonorCodethestudent’sprofessorwillfilloutanHonorCodeViolationform,whichwillbeinvestigatedbythePh.D.Director,LUOnlineandGraduateStudentAffairs.Studentsaregivenanopportunitytoappeal.ForfurtherinformationontheexpectationsforclinicalcoursesandtheremediationprocessforPh.D.PracticumandInternship,seethePracticumandInternshipManual.4.9SEXUALHARASSMENTSexualharassment,likeanykindofharassment,onthebasisofcolor,race,religion,ornationaloriginhaslongbeenrecognizedasaviolationofSection703ofTitleVIIoftheCivilRightsActof1964,asamended.SuchbehaviordoesnotbefitacommittedChristian.Accordingly,LibertyUniversitystronglydisapprovesofsexualharassmentandintimidationofitsemployeesorstudents.4.10PERSONALCOUNSELINGStudentsarestronglyencouragedtoseekindividualandgroupcounselingasapartofthedoctoraleducationalexperience.Evenifastudentisaparticipantinasupportgrouporself-helpgroup,thatparticipationalonedoesnotreallyprovidethenecessarybenefitsforcounselorpreparation.AsChristianswhoarecalledtoserveotherswiththetrainingofacounselingleader,itisimperativethatwedealwithourownpersonalissuesthatmayinterferewithourabilitytoimpactothersinmeaningfulways.Moreover,gettingtheexperienceofbeingintheseatoftheclientwillhelpyoubetterunderstandyourclients’experiencesincounseling.Asnotedabove,personalcounselingmightberequiredbytheDepartmentofCounselorEducationandFamilyStudiesadministrationasaconditionofcontinuingintheprogram.Whenastudent’spersonalissuesareassessedtobeinterferingwithprogresstowardbecomingadoctoral-leveltrainedprofessionalcounselor,adevelopmentalplaniscreatedtohelpthestudentaddresstheproblematicissues.Insuchcases,theDepartment’sleadershipmustagreewiththechoiceoftheprofessionalandmight,insomecircumstances,requirethestudenttoseeaparticularcounselor.Areleaseofinformationwillbemandatoryinordertoobtainprogressreportsfromthetreatingcounselor
